And God continues to be so patient with us.
Praise be to His holy name.

The eight who entered the ark were not water baptized, but they were baptized and saved.

The Bible says they were SAVED by WATER. It is symbolic of the water that now saves us...the pledge to God.

When we say that we have to be 'water baptized' to complete being placed in Christ, we are saying that Jesus Christ and what He did at the Cross of Calvary was not a complete work and was not enough to save.
That is from your false teachers. That is from the faith alone doctrine.

Jesus saves us all on his own, but he chooses whom he saves, and he chooses those whose hearts he accepts, those that are set on OBEYING HIM. Jesus saves those who repent of their sins and want to live to please him. It pleases Jesus to get water baptized.

Boy oh boy, you're all confused, aren't ya?

Those people were also part of 1st century AD Judaism, where that was a practice! There should be, and probably is, something more sharper in meaning to say 'I make a commitment to honor Christ' today to a public. Or maybe there is not and it just doesn't matter, because our public today is not that of a social context raised in Judaism.

To really compare apples, you have to find places like the response to Paul in Acts 17 or 14 where the message was strictly to non-Jews and remote from Israel. And even then, it is not human response that is all determinative.

We are saved by works: Christ's! When that truly sinks in, there won't be any fuss over Acts 2:28 which was the last thing on Peter's mind.

We are saved by Jesus Christ and by eating of his flesh.

Do you know how to eat his flesh?

We eat his flesh by OBEYING HIS WORDS.

His words are life.

See John 6:56, John 6:63.

There is a strong false teaching out there that has been around since the time of Paul, and that is about believing and teaching that we do not have to obey to be saved and to stay saved.

Who would be behind that teaching? Who would be behind teaching that we do not have to obey God?

I know one thing, you're a "false teacher."

I speak of Jesus' words as Holy, Powerful, Truthful for ALL.

GM speaks of them as temporary and limited.

Let us reason together.

Which sounds right to you?

Learn to "Rightly Divide" the word. Jesus was speaking to the lost
sheep of the House of Israel in, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

She can't until she gets saved (1 Corinthians 2:14 KJV). It is only then that she can choose to study the approved unto God way and be a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, by rightly dividing the word of truth!

2 Timothy 2:15 KJV

As it stands now, she is just another religious, but lost vain babbler

Very true. That's why she lacks the ability to hear the truth.
