THERE IS AN ADVANTAGE TO NOT TRUST IN OSAS.

Thank God not in the way you are.
So then by your own admission, you are not saved by the gospel of Christ (1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV) or by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:4-9 KJV) or any of the things that Paul writes that we members of the Body of Christ are in Christ:

sanctified,
justified,
redeemed,
forgiven,
saved
crucified
buried
risen
chosen in Him
holy
without blame
washed
sealed
fellowheirs
partakers of Christ

because members of the Body are all of those things in Christ and more and I claim them all as one who is in the faith!

You still have yet to answer:

Is there a gospel by which you are saved or are you still working for yours?

And since you imply that you are saved, but are not forthcoming on how. Here's another question for you: How were you saved?

So, who do you think the author of Hebrews was?

I don't know.
Somebody who didn't hear the Lord Jesus directly- Heb 2:3.....again not Paul.

An associate of Timothy, so likely knew Paul.
Maybe Barnabas, who was a Levite.

Again, I don't know and I don't think anyone knows for sure.
I don't think it was Paul, unless there was an introduction which got torn away and lost.

If, after 4 1/2 hours of cogitation, the four of you couldn't put together one cogent response to what I offered then it doesn't speak well of your faith.

In spite of your well crafted argument, I still don't think Paul wrote it, and again, I don't think anyone can know for sure...at this time.

He's a self appointed fruit inspector with no good news just like the rest of the religious, but lost. And you'll notice a pattern with them. They never testify the gospel of the grace of God. They are too busy frustrating the grace of God.

True. They're a strange group of oddballs.

So a "saved" person can mock God and He'll turn the other cheek and allow eternal salvation?

I'm forgiven all trespasses, period. Sin/sins is not an issue! They were judged 2000 years ago! What I have done in Christ's Body is for God to judge at the judgment seat of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:10 KJV) and that based upon how I built on a wise master Paul's foundation. It is a judgment for reward or to suffer loss of reward and is for the saved (1 Corinthians 3:10-15 KJV). Are you saved?

True. Good post.

So did ACW get around to explaining what the saving gospel is? He's been asked many times just by myself, many more times by others, but he's never said. Always plays coy. Too bitter and brittle to be an evangie. He's probably a Catholic con or Mormon and just doesn't want to admit it.

Heb 3:12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
Heb 3:13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
Heb 3:14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;

Heb 6:11 And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:
Heb 6:12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Heb 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
Heb 6:2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
Heb 6:3 And this will we do, if God permit.
Heb 6:4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
Heb 6:5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
Heb 6:6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
Heb 6:7 For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:
Heb 6:8 But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.

No, he hasn't and I don't recall hem ever answering the question (and it's even asked in several different ways so it's not like he can't understand the question).

They are for us, but not to us! That is a requirement for the Hebrews. They will only be made partakers of Christ if they hold the beginning of their confidence stedfast unto the end!

Hebrews 3:14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;

We are already made partakers of Christ by the gospel!

Ephesians 3:6 That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:

Now I understand why you and your fellow travelers deny Paul wrote Hebrews because if he did your little doctrinal house of cards comes tumbling down.
