The Holy Scriptures teach us that Christ is the centerpiece. He is our only hope of salvation. Jesus taught that there was nothing good in men, except: God. We can ONLY ever be made perfect by His Blood. Without It, we are judged. He said that if we don't drink His Blood we have no life in us. I have His Life in me. You don't, since you reject His Flesh and His Blood.

John 6:53
Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.Yes, but if you don't partake of the elements, considering His Body and His Blood in so doing, you have no part in Him.Jesus said otherwise:

Matthew 20:28
Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

You're just not getting very much out of The Bible, are you?It is a part of salvation, yes, but The Blood is even more essential. It is meaningless without His Blood cleansing our sin. What do you mean: "We," ? You aren't born-again. You're not even a professing Christian. To be born again one must believe God's Word and surrender to Jesus, not to Jebus.

Without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sins.

All these are yet in their sins. They want nothing but to be gods, denying their own nature. It's the Edenic lie.

According to the UB, yes....Jesus expounds this 'good news' quite extensively in Part 4. - its 'center-piece' is not a vicarious blood-atonement, but is a gospel rooted in 'faith' in the 'Fatherhood of God & Brotherhood of Man', a living dynamic of loving service and ministry to one's fellow man, whereby he shares and grows in spiritual progress and perfection.

Jesus likens the 'eating of flesh' to the reception of the 'bread of heaven' (figurative) -

'Flesh' and 'Blood' are figurative symbols -

- Paper 153

Note: that this reference to 'receiving his blood' is only 'symbolic' of receiving the 'life-substance', and not being a 'ransom' or 'vicarious atonement' of some kind. - all these 'elements' are represented as forms of 'sustenance'.

Well,....its Paul that is emphasizing a blood-atonement, and such Pauline concepts were later reflected into the gospels. Granted that 'blood-sacrifice' was practiced in the OT as a form of 'atonement', humans were never sacrificed, neither is the Jewish Messiah ever taught to be a blood-sacrifice. The true 'sacrifice' is the 'self-surrender' of each soul to 'God', that alone is essential.

There's more involved here on a variety of levels. Jesus and Paul taught differently at many levels. Paul never met Jesus except as a 'voice' and a 'light', and does not even quote a saying of Jesus from the gospels records, except for an obscure mention of one saying, and the 'Eucharist' ritual. He also never mentioned a 'virgin birth'.

Yep,...being 'born from above' is symbolic of a regeneration from above ('spiritual' or 'heavenly'), so it naturally is 'essential' to have this 'inspiration' or 'birthing' to see into the spiritual nature of things, since by the 'Spirit' we discern spiritual things.

Paul barged in and hijacked the gospel, making it his own. Should be called Paul-anity. Not only are Paul’s words made equal with the Son incarnate, but the often times confused students of Jesus were all equilibrated with Jesus when the church transformed the writings of men into the writing of God. But try to explain that the Dumb and Dumber you end up with an orthodox Halloween reply.

You don't see any connections because you extrovert Jesus, once you grasped the interpolated possibilities the wheat can bee seen in both teachings. The sayings of Jesus are plagiarized and found else where in other religious writings as well, and can be seen as astrological and other Virgin Birth lore etc.............Paul's inner-man is Jesus, that connection is there you just refuse to except it for literal reasons.

Honestly Zeke, I’m not always sure of what you are saying.

Paul’s religion was about Jesus, but you imply that Jesus' religion was about Paul? That Paul was real but speaking in some form of code while Jesus' words are the made up part?

Paul’s spiritual experience was vital and persuasive, minus the blinding exaggeration. He was compelling and charismatic enough to overwhelm the apostles and the original gospel message while unconsciously creating a new religion for his Roman friends.

Jesus' use of common sayings wasn't plagiarism; he simply appropriated existing themes in his presentation. In fact his entire life was patterned around themes of the surrounding Gentile beliefs that were already familiar to those who his missionaries would approach.

When ones theology demands that the majority surrenders the bulk of a common reading to a labyrinth of hidden passageways, puzzles and double meanings, then it's generally only there in the eye of the beholder.

Adam & Eve serving as 'biologic uplifters'.....

Adam & Eve serving as 'biologic uplifters'.....

"Cain" was the bastard child of the sin, Eve had sought to circumvent the biological backwardness of the fallen, populated earth as they found it by injecting her own genetic material into the gene pool, she mixed good (Gods plan for the rehabilitation of the earth) with her own ill-conceived plan (evil).

Eve found Cano (Cain’s real father) "pleasing to the eye." Cano was the leader of the Nodites outside if the garden.

After Cain killed Abel they decided it was best for Cain to leave the garden in search of his fathers people, but Cain had never been "spirit indwelt" by the fragment of God.

Gen 4

15 And the Lord said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the Lord set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.

16 And Cain went out from the presence of the Lord, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.

http://www.urantia.org/urantia-book-standardized/paper-76-second-garden?term=disdainful%20of#search-jump-result-0

(849.1) 76:2.7 The death of Abel became known to his parents when his dogs brought the flocks home without their master. To Adam and Eve, Cain was fast becoming the grim reminder of their folly, and they encouraged him in his decision to leave the garden.

(849.2) 76:2.8 Cain’s life in Mesopotamia had not been exactly happy since he was in such a peculiar way symbolic of the default. It was not that his associates were unkind to him, but he had not been unaware of their subconscious resentment of his presence. But Cain knew that, since he bore no tribal mark, he would be killed by the first neighboring tribesmen who might chance to meet him. Fear, and some remorse, led him to repent. Cain had never been indwelt by an Adjuster, had always been defiant of the family discipline and disdainful of his father’s religion. But he now went to Eve, his mother, and asked for spiritual help and guidance, and when he honestly sought divine assistance, an Adjuster indwelt him. And this Adjuster, dwelling within and looking out, gave Cain a distinct advantage of superiority which classed him with the greatly feared tribe of Adam.

(849.3) 76:2.9 And so Cain departed for the land of Nod, east of the second Eden. He became a great leader among one group of his father’s people and did, to a certain degree, fulfill the predictions of Serapatatia, for he did promote peace between this division of the Nodites and the Adamites throughout his lifetime. Cain married Remona, his distant cousin, and their first son, Enoch, became the head of the Elamite Nodites. And for hundreds of years the Elamites and the Adamites continued to be at peace.

Hi Caino and all,....the story of 'Cain' is wonderful, - do you know of any other accounts that might correlate with/confirm the part of Eve finding another man (outside the garden) "pleasing to the eye", where Eve 'knew' that man and they conceived Cain? (this of course could only be if there were already pre-existing tribes (humans) on the planet before Adam & Eve's arrival). Some have speculated that Cain's father was the 'serpent' (or some adversary), but its interesting that Eve said at Cain's birth "I have acquired a man from YHWH" (Gen. 4:1). Why would Eve say this if she was going outside of the divine mandate and acquired Cain thru 'sin'?

The UB's account might sound pretty wild to some, but provides a detailed background of the conditions on the planet before and after Adam & Eve's sojourn here. The papers below give a background on the 'Adam & Eve' project, their 'default' and its repercussions affecting the evolution of our planet. Attribute it to an authentic record of the revelators (celestial sources), a creative venture of religious fiction, or curious blend thereof,...every detail inter-relates in the entire movement of creation and the unfolding drama therein.

Freelight, the name Yahweh wasn't in use until it was adopted at Sini, Genesis was heavily redacted in the 500's BC so the story reflects Hebrew bias about Eve as their YEC ancestor.

Remember, Gen also said that the world fell because Eve ate some fruit from the produce section. I've never believed that silly explanation.

Jesus of the UB:

"(1732.1) 155:6.8 Every race of mankind has its own mental outlook upon human existence; therefore must the religion of the mind ever run true to these various racial viewpoints. Never can the religions of authority come to unification. Human unity and mortal brotherhood can be achieved only by and through the superendowment of the religion of the spirit. Racial minds may differ, but all mankind is indwelt by the same divine and eternal spirit. The hope of human brotherhood can only be realized when, and as, the divergent mind religions of authority become impregnated with, and overshadowed by, the unifying and ennobling religion of the spirit — the religion of personal spiritual experience.

(1732.2) 155:6.9 The religions of authority can only divide men and set them in conscientious array against each other; the religion of the spirit will progressively draw men together and cause them to become understandingly sympathetic with one another. The religions of authority require of men uniformity in belief, but this is impossible of realization in the present state of the world. The religion of the spirit requires only unity of experience — uniformity of destiny — making full allowance for diversity of belief. The religion of the spirit requires only uniformity of insight, not uniformity of viewpoint and outlook. The religion of the spirit does not demand uniformity of intellectual views, only unity of spirit feeling. The religions of authority crystallize into lifeless creeds; the religion of the spirit grows into the increasing joy and liberty of ennobling deeds of loving service and merciful ministration."

While differences of religious culture, tradition and nomemclature exist,...the one unifying power and presence behind them all is the universal reality of 'God' Himself, who is the Father of all, indwelling all, encompassing all, transcending all. Only the 'religion of the Spirit' is all unifying and integrating because that eternal and infinite Spirit itself is ever ONE. Hence the gospel of the kingdom Jesus taught, inheres in this divine and eternal truth, of the 'Fatherhood of God and Brotherhood of Man'. There is an endless diversity within the family of Man, but One Spirit-Father.

The 'religion of the Spirit' is always free, ever-expanding, ever-availing of every possibility and potential. Only in the realization of sonship with God, is the recognition of the Universal Father, being the heart-source and Progenitor of all souls, so that in this 'realization'....is the unifying principle of Love, self-evident and efficacious.

Commit not the folly of calling that divine which is wholly human, and fail not to discern the words of truth which come not through the traditional oracles of supposed inspiration.

The various religious writings/collections of mankind regarded as 'inspired' are not the sole representations of truth, neither the final revelation. Older writings can be re-considered as well as new dispensations of truth.

The religion of the spirit leaves you forever free to follow the truth wherever the leadings of the spirit may take you.

The Spirit of 'God' is not limited by time or space, but reveals certain dispensations of truth in time and space as progressive revelation.

No, by contemporary standards it says that Jesus was broke and homeless but he was spiritually rich, even The Creator Son of God. After he resurrected a likeness of his former mortal body, he returned to his rightful place in heaven.

That doesn't make sense. How could a young Jew retire at the age of thirty and support a fair sized entourage traveling around the country preaching for three and one half years? If you have ever spent any time on the road you know it is expensive.

Does the Urantia Revelation reveal Christ's marriage?

Homeless? Jesus had a house in Capernaum.

This is true, but He doesn't give 'private' interpretations of His Word of Prophecy.

2 Peter 1:20
Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

He reveals His Truth openly. He wants everyone to be saved, even you, Paul. The Urantia Book simply doesn't line up with His Truth. It denies It. You need to know Truth in order to recognize counterfeit truth.

Wonderful, you have over 190 pages of discussion on it here, with information-articles, commentary and direct online access to the papers themselves for your own reading. Its all available. Discover for yourself. See my former response to Desert Reign here with some good beginner links at the end.

So does the Urantia Revelation reveal that Jesus had to be very well off financially to retire at the age of thirty?

Not sure what this has to do with anything, but a 'speculation' about how 'well to do' Jesus was,....as if this has anything to do with what he actually taught and its import. - while some modern evangelical-charismatic prosperity teachers may 'tout' that line, the revelation of Jesus in the UB is in a class of its own. Part 4 of the UB (Urantia Book) goes thru every year of Jesus life if you're interested, so represents probably the most detailed/complete record existing.

Reality

This is true, but He doesn't give 'private' interpretations of His Word of Prophecy.

2 Peter 1:20
Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

How else does one receive revelation except being open to the Spirit of God within him? Does not the Spirit of God teach, lead and guide his children? An 'interpretation' of anything is natural as the mind relates to and discovers the meaning of anything, yet that mind if illumined by the Spirit receives insight and understanding, then such may come as a 'revelation' to that individual. On this level it is both 'private' and 'personal', as such is discovered 'privately' and 'personally'. In any case, the passage emphasizes that any true writing is inspired by the Holy Spirit, so that anything revealed by the Spirit is 'true' considering its source. The source of truth itself is of course 'God', and not any 'person' per se, who claims a 'private' revelation. However, from a personal perspective,....'light' is revealed to a 'person' individually, a truth which correlates to the universal reality of 'God' already existing, since 'God' alone is the sole absolute, universal, all-supreme BEING.

He reveals His Truth openly. He wants everyone to be saved, even you, Paul.

Yes, since God is Love.

The Urantia Book simply doesn't line up with His Truth. It denies It. You need to know Truth in order to recognize counterfeit truth.

The UB espouses the great heights and depths of God's infinite Love and eternal plan for man, a grand and glorious destiny of eternal life and survival for all souls choosing to do God's will. Again,...I just share what the papers teach, since that is what this thread is about. On other threads, I serve as a voice and translator on those subjects, sharing the information as 'creative dialogue'. "Its just information". - those interested in the papers can discover it for themselves,...take it or leave it. - with over 2,000 pages though, its worth more than just a quick dismissal, since its significance to man's spiritual destiny and eternal progress is monumental.

Does the Urantia Revelation reveal Christ's marriage?

Homeless? Jesus had a house in Capernaum.

After Jesus left his home in Capernaum and went out on his own, he never really had a permanent residence again. Before he launched his public career he did work at various trades. Once the apostles were selected, they lived on contributions from believers.

From the Urantia revelation:

(1421.6) 129:2.1 In March, A.D. 22, Jesus took leave of Zebedee and of Capernaum. He asked for a small sum of money to defray his expenses to Jerusalem. While working with Zebedee he had drawn only small sums of money, which each month he would send to the family at Nazareth. One month Joseph would come down to Capernaum for the money; the next month Jude would come over to Capernaum, get the money from Jesus, and take it up to Nazareth. Jude’s fishing headquarters was only a few miles south of Capernaum.

(1421.7) 129:2.2 When Jesus took leave of Zebedee’s family, he agreed to remain in Jerusalem until Passover time, and they all promised to be present for that event. They even arranged to celebrate the Passover supper together. They all sorrowed when Jesus left them, especially the daughters of Zebedee.

(1421.8) 129:2.3 Before leaving Capernaum, Jesus had a long talk with his new-found friend and close companion, John Zebedee. He told John that he contemplated traveling extensively until “my hour shall come” and asked John to act in his stead in the matter of sending some money to the family at Nazareth each month until the funds due him should be exhausted. And John made him this promise: “My Teacher, go about your business, do your work in the world; I will act for you in this or any other matter, and I will watch over your family even as I would foster my own mother and care for my own brothers and sisters. I will disburse your funds which my father holds as you have directed and as they may be needed, and when your money has been expended, if I do not receive more from you, and if your mother is in need, then will I share my own earnings with her. Go your way in peace. I will act in your stead in all these matters.”

(1422.1) 129:2.4 Therefore, after Jesus had departed for Jerusalem, John consulted with his father, Zebedee, regarding the money due Jesus, and he was surprised that it was such a large sum. As Jesus had left the matter so entirely in their hands, they agreed that it would be the better plan to invest these funds in property and use the income for assisting the family at Nazareth; and since Zebedee knew of a little house in Capernaum which carried a mortgage and was for sale, he directed John to buy this house with Jesus’ money and hold the title in trust for his friend. And John did as his father advised him. For two years the rent of this house was applied on the mortgage, and this, augmented by a certain large fund which Jesus presently sent up to John to be used as needed by the family, almost equaled the amount of this obligation; and Zebedee supplied the difference, so that John paid up the remainder of the mortgage when it fell due, thereby securing clear title to this two-room house. In this way Jesus became the owner of a house in Capernaum, but he had not been told about it.

(1422.2) 129:2.5 When the family at Nazareth heard that Jesus had departed from Capernaum, they, not knowing of this financial arrangement with John, believed the time had come for them to get along without any further help from Jesus. James remembered his contract with Jesus and, with the help of his brothers, forthwith assumed full responsibility for the care of the family.

(1422.3) 129:2.6 But let us go back to observe Jesus in Jerusalem. For almost two months he spent the greater part of his time listening to the temple discussions with occasional visits to the various schools of the rabbis. Most of the Sabbath days he spent at Bethany.

(1422.4) 129:2.7 Jesus had carried with him to Jerusalem a letter from Salome, Zebedee’s wife, introducing him to the former high priest, Annas, as “one, the same as my own son.” Annas spent much time with him, personally taking him to visit the many academies of the Jerusalem religious teachers. While Jesus thoroughly inspected these schools and carefully observed their methods of teaching, he never so much as asked a single question in public. Although Annas looked upon Jesus as a great man, he was puzzled as to how to advise him. He recognized the foolishness of suggesting that he enter any of the schools of Jerusalem as a student, and yet he well knew Jesus would never be accorded the status of a regular teacher inasmuch as he had never been trained in these schools.

(1422.5) 129:2.8 Presently the time of the Passover drew near, and along with the throngs from every quarter there arrived at Jerusalem from Capernaum, Zebedee and his entire family. They all stopped at the spacious home of Annas, where they celebrated the Passover as one happy family.

(1422.6) 129:2.9 Before the end of this Passover week, by apparent chance, Jesus met a wealthy traveler and his son, a young man about seventeen years of age. These travelers hailed from India, and being on their way to visit Rome and various other points on the Mediterranean, they had arranged to arrive in Jerusalem during the Passover, hoping to find someone whom they could engage as interpreter for both and tutor for the son. The father was insistent that Jesus consent to travel with them. Jesus told him about his family and that it was hardly fair to go away for almost two years, during which time they might find themselves in need. Whereupon, this traveler from the Orient proposed to advance to Jesus the wages of one year so that he could intrust such funds to his friends for the safeguarding of his family against want. And Jesus agreed to make the trip.

(1423.1) 129:2.10 Jesus turned this large sum over to John the son of Zebedee. And you have been told how John applied this money toward the liquidation of the mortgage on the Capernaum property. Jesus took Zebedee fully into his confidence regarding this Mediterranean journey, but he enjoined him to tell no man, not even his own flesh and blood, and Zebedee never did disclose his knowledge of Jesus’ whereabouts during this long period of almost two years. Before Jesus’ return from this trip the family at Nazareth had just about given him up as dead. Only the assurances of Zebedee, who went up to Nazareth with his son John on several occasions, kept hope alive in Mary’s heart.

(1423.2) 129:2.11 During this time the Nazareth family got along very well; Jude had considerably increased his quota and kept up this extra contribution until he was married. Notwithstanding that they required little assistance, it was the practice of John Zebedee to take presents each month to Mary and Ruth, as Jesus had instructed him.
