Some electors flipped after all

So you want to eliminate the electoral college which would essentially eliminate the role of states in presidential elections? Doesn't sound good to me. Last I checked we were a constitutional republic and not a direct democracy.
We can choose to organize our elections how we want. Senators used to be chosen by the state legislature, now they are directly elected. I don't see any reason to not do the same for President since that's how almost everyone assumes it works.

Complete domination no. He won the electoral college by a few thousand votes in the right states many of which most people thought were safe for Hillary. Trump had one of the smaller margins of victory in the electoral college and he lost the popular vote so. . . I wouldn't call that domination.

Trump won

Hillary ______

The Electoral College is the last stand for states. Your correct, the Senators are now directly voted upon by the people. That was an attempt by nationalists to take the power from the states. That succeeded. It is amazing the EC has survived this long. It will be done away with at some point, so you will get your wish. Just probably not in your lifetime. But I will fight to keep it, like I fight to get the 17th amendment abolished.

And yet here we are with him having defeated The Republicans, The Democrats, and The Media.
He spent half as much as Hillary.
Complete Domination, for half the price.
Who's inexperienced?

Put a bull in a china shop and he'll dominate, but it wouldn't take any experience to do it.

He was just the right dim bull at the right time.

He took three states that hadn't gone Blue is six elections!
It was a Red landslide in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania.
The first two were never Red or even close on anybodies map, not even swing states. He took safe turf away from the Dems and it will show in the mid-terms.

He won the Republican primary in an extremely crowded field,
Crowded with big money and deep, deep political roots. And he smacked them all around and tossed them off stage.

Right. A big lurching bull who has no experience, but he knew what to sell to his base. Misogyny, xenophobia and racism, and they snapped it up like a MAGA hat at a swap meet.

So the way you get his supporters to vote Democrat in 4 or 8 years is to continue to call them misogynists, racists, and a myriad of other insults. I can't stand that socialist con-man Trump, but your faux-intellectualism and constant insults aren't going to get his supporters to vote Democrat next time.

You wonder why so many people supported that idiot Trump when the Democrat choice was a corrupt, lying scumbag with supporters who constantly insult anyone who doesn't agree with them. Not to mention that the Democrat party has moved so far to the left that they're in the loony bin. Your side proudly painted itself as the Leninist party that insults everyone that doesn't agree with their fringe politics.

If American Politics equate to a China Shop then perhaps it's a good thing somebody started flipping tables to show how cheap all the wares were.

Faux intellectualism? :chuckle: That's a new one.

I'm not interested in getting his base to do anything, but I sure as hell will say what I think.

What was that you were saying about "constant insults?" Wow, all in the same post... :chuckle:

Get used to Trump. No one is going to wake up tomorrow and vote for the self-proclaimed socialists that have been calling them every name in the book for a decade. There's a reason why the Democrats got their rear ends handed to them in the vote.
