LOL, that is true.
You pulling for Seattle to win? Hopefully that will help Dallas with another win next week. We can still move up to have a bye can't we?
If the Cards lose today and next week, Seahawks lose next week and Cowboys win next week, I think that'd put them in the #2 spot for a bye. Hard to imagine this Cardinals team winning anymore, so it is a definite possibility.

Observations on the week that mostly was...

Something in the qb water as several signal callers were outplayed by their inferior counterparts to no discernible impact. Case in point?

The butt of a few qb jokes, Sanchez played a terrific game, going 37/50 for 374 yds 2 tds to 1 int and posting 99.9 rating while RGIII couldn't manage any points while turning the ball over and the Redskins still won the day.

Brady was outplayed by Geno Smith but his team still came away with a win (Tom posted a pedestrian 76 rating to Geno's 83). I'm kidding. Tom runs into the same trouble Peyton does when he plays against Bill's scheming and the Pats are just lucky Ryan never coached Manning's defenses.

On the other hand Eli reminded everyone why on any given Sunday he can play with the best of them, putting on a clinic against the formerly feared SL defense, with 348 yrds, 3 td to 0 ints and a near perfect 148 rating.

Big Ben was similarly dominant in the Steelers win, as was Packer favorite Rogers, answering questions about how his game traveled by throwing for over 300 yds, a td and no picks, moving his team down the field at will and earning an impressive 108 passer rating.

The Saints, who looked resurgent on the road continued their inexplicable home game melt down and quietly said goodbye to the playoffs.

Minnesota and Miami fans found reason to cheer and hope for next year, with a spirited, if pointless 35 to 37 contest.

What's the deal with Oakland anyway?

And does this Colts team remind you of Peyton's early run, when a bad night under center meant a long and embarrassing flight home? Or have the Cowboys been getting better and better? Or both.

Seattle proved...that a first rate defense can't be beaten by a one dimensional offense and a third string qb. But, in doing that unimpressive chore they've set up an NFC road to the SB that could solidify next week.

Will Johnny be the fastest hot to forgotten draft pick in some time or is this just the price he paid for being immature in preparation and coming in cold? Brutal to watch him play, though less than that first one for the ages.

Next up, the top ten...following tomorrow's game of no small importance...at least for the Bengals.

Peyton Manning threw FOUR interceptions tonight........
He had a little help with that, but the main problem with Denver went like this: early defensive and special teams gaffs put them too deep in the hole to advance the run the way they'd wanted and had been, so they put it back on Peyton's shoulders. He clawed them back into a narrow lead, at which point they should have reverted to the running game setting up the pass, but didn't.

That's when they lost the game, as a really good home defense began sitting on routes and waiting for an opportunity. All they needed was one and they got two. Game over. I blame Peyton, not so much for throwing the picks, but for not recognizing the need to change gears with the lead instead of looking to surprise and bury Cin once they had it by continuing to play from behind.

Who knows, maybe once Brady and Belichick are gone the Pats will do it.

Belichick has nothing to do with it.

Once Brady is gone, the Pats will be a different team even if Belichick is still the coach.

Belichick's record as a head coach when Tom Brady is not the QB: 52-62

You're probably right. I wouldn't expect his coaching career to outlast TB's QB career. Brady will retire to the bizarro alternate reality where superstar quarterbacks with huge advertising deals and supermodel wives live, and Belichick will take a seat at a desk with Rex Ryan to do pregame shows on CBS or something.

It takes both to have a dynasty. What's Noll look like W/L if you take away the games Bradshaw led him to victory in? Counting playoffs it's around .500 without both.

oh really?
what is brady's record without bilichick?
you can replace brady
but
you can't replace bilichick
everyone agrees peyton is the better qb
so
why doesn't his playoff record reflect that?
