James 1:1 refutes MAD

Sheesh - he is not referring to himself as a minister - rather to his having been made an able minister of what he was ministering - he was ministering the Spirit the New Testament had promised Israel God would minister to their spirit.

Get - a - clue! :chuckle:

Rom. 14:5; 5:6-8.

Who has made 'us' able ministers of the new Testament. You people will do anything to reject the new covenant. Just call yourselves dispensational believers and drop Christian and it will be true to form.

2Cor 3:6 (AKJV/PCE)
(3:6) Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

Do you think that Paul did not including himself when he said US?

Do you not think that there were actual ministers at the church in Corinth when Paul was gone?

Like Epaphras at the church in Colosse. Col. 1:7

I was booted from CF! for destroying the SDA like I destroy the Dispies over here. CF protects SDA like Bob Ryan the Law-Lover. LOL

Oh, so you were booted from CF after all.

I was just joking, though; I wasn't aware you'd actually been booted, as I barely ever post over there anymore.

And yeah, they also booted our old pal over there: Interplanner - for rightly voicing his views against homosexual marriage.

So now he is over here giving us Dispys the what for - to no avail; given his books based wisdom of men, you know; like yours :chuckle:

Say what you want against Dispys - on this, a Dispy owned Forum (TOL) - but at least on here - you are pretty much allowed the right to stand for at least the basic fundamentals of the faith.

Rom. 14:5; 5:6-8.

Paul was an apostle not a minister, duh!

Minister is translated as deacon in Philippians and 1Timothy.

Was Paul a deacon?

Do you not think that there were actual ministers at the church in Corinth when Paul was gone?
Don't try to change the subject.

I showed you that Paul called himself a minister, which you claim what he was not.

You are an ignorant religious zealot.

Epaphras was a minister at Colosse - Col. 1:7

And Tychicus in Ephesus - Eph. 6:21

And Timothy was a minister as well - 1Thess. 3:2

Ignorant loser who rejects the new covenant.

You appear to be a different flavor of Dispy because the MADs don't like you.

Do you believe that Gentile Christians are under the new covenant?

A different flavor of MAD, somewhat - an earlier version.

Most whom you are dealing with on here have ended up at a later, different version of MAD.

Their issue with me is my pointing out their errors here and there (like their notion that the 12 and their converts had to wait for their salvation at the return of the Lord, or that the Body does not partake of the Lord's Supper, or that the Romans were not saved before Paul wrote Romans, and so on - all conclusions VERY FEW MADs hold to).

So there is that. But mostly their issue with me is my calling them out on how they spit on anyone who does not agree with them - just like you do :chuckle:

Paul called himself a minister. But you're too dumb to understand that.

Paul was an apostle not a minister, duh!

Minister is translated as deacon in Philippians and 1Timothy.

Was Paul a deacon?

Eph 3:7 (AKJV/PCE)
(3:7) Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.

Timothy was a Jew.

Acts 16:1 (AKJV/PCE)
(16:1) Then came he to Derbe and Lystra: and, behold, a certain disciple was there, named Timotheus, the son of a certain woman, which was a Jewess, and believed; but his father [was] a Greek:

But his father was a Greek, can't you read! LOL

Jews are declared Jews by decent from their MOTHER and not their father.

That as why Paul had Timothy circumcised but NOT Titus.

That's a modern stipulation. According to the law if you married a Gentile they had to convert to Judaism and be a circumcised proselyte for the line not to be broken.

True. Ya got him there.

But something is still not kosher - why wasn't ol Tim circumcised as a babe?

2 Timothy 3:14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; 3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

Acts 16:1 Then came he to Derbe and Lystra: and, behold, a certain disciple was there, named Timotheus, the son of a certain woman, which was a Jewess, and believed; but his father was a Greek: 16:2 Which was well reported of by the brethren that were at Lystra and Iconium. 16:3 Him would Paul have to go forth with him; and took and circumcised him because of the Jews which were in those quarters: for they knew all that his father was a Greek.

Rom. 14:5; 5:6-8.

There is just an all out assault to make the new covenant a Jewish only covenant!

It's just sad.
We just believe the Bible, unlike you.

Jer 31:31-32 (AKJV/PCE)
(31:31) ¶ Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: (31:32) Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day [that] I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:

Timothy was a minister of the new covenant and he was definitely Greek!

An "able minister" and a Minister are not the same thing.

Paul was talking about what he had been enabled to be able to minister to others...he said that while talking of the source of his sufficiency, or enablement.

2 Corinthians 3:3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart. 3:4 And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward: 3:5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God; 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. 3:7 But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:

Was the law " a Minister" (capital "M")?

Rom. 14:5; 5:6-8.
