All the disobedience of Israel in the desert 40 years, and the rest of humanity,Jew,and Gentile is summed up in this one verse way back in Deut.

Deu 29:3 The great temptations which thine eyes have seen, the signs, and those great miracles:
Deu 29:4 Yet the LORD hath not given you an heart to perceive, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, unto this day.

God gives His Spirit to those who believe Him, Ephesians 1:13, John 3:33; to those He accepts, Acts 15:8.

God gives understanding to true worshipers, see 2 Timothy 2:7. It is Jesus who gives understanding to those who believe, to those he accepts, those who believe, see Luke 24:45; Acts 16:14; and 1 John 5:20.

Beloved57 is a wacked out Supra-Lapsarian. His mind is made up and snapped shut.

Matt 5:11-12

11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Thats apostacy and works Salvation !

We are saved only by the faith in Jesus blood; we no longer have to do any works like circumcision and various sin offerings. We DO have to be the people, in whom Jesus chooses to save; the Bible tells us what kind of people Jesus chooses to save. If you want to be saved, do what the Bible says, believe, and obey, see John 14:23; Acts 5:32; and, John 8:31.

Predestinated to Faith in Jesus Christ !

Eph 1:5

5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

Predestinated us unto the Adoption of Children !

Many of the Lord's adversaries of the Gospel of Truth will tell us that there are no scriptures that tell us that people have been predestinated to Faith in Christ ! Well that is absolutely false, for Eph 1:5 informs us of that exact thing, by stating " Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself"

He predetermined or preordained before hand an Adoption in Time by Jesus Christ !

According to the good pleasure of His Will ! Also to the praise of the glory of His Grace, which He graced us in in the Beloved; All that means, we who have believed, believe because of predestinating Grace Acts 18:27

27 And when he was disposed to pass into Achaia, the brethren wrote, exhorting the disciples to receive him: who, when he was come, helped them much which had believed through grace:

Remember, as many as were ordained to Eternal Life believed Acts 13:48 !

That believing is the result of God having predestnated us to the Adoption of Children, that is that our Election and Sonship become known publically by our public Faith in Christ Gal 3:26

26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

Paul uses the exact same greek word for children here as he did in Eph 1:5, its the word huios and means Son !

The Faith in Christ we have , we [The Sons] were predestinated unto it !

Another scripture that speaks to some being predestinated unto Faith in Christ is Rom 8:29

29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Those God foreknew as also here Rom 11:2

2 God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel saying,

Those he predestinated to Faith in Christ simply because He predestinated them to be conformed to His Image, which image is to Trust in God Heb 2:13

13 And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me.

Thats the fruit of being adopted unto Children by Jesus Christ !

The being conformed to the Image of Christ for the foreknown and predestinated, that process begins at a certain time for each foreknown and predestinated one, which begins at their New Birth, New Birth is of Necessity for the Eternal Purpose to begin their experimental conformity to Christ, and with the New Birth comes the Birth of Faith and Hope 1 Pet 1:3

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope [Faith] by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

Predestinated to Faith in Christ is taught in scripture for those who have eyes to see it !

What you say means nothing, for you are a staunch believer in Salvation by Works, even when Paul wrote this Eph 2:8-9

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

In Ephesians 2, Paul is speaking to Gentiles they were the disobedient. Paul says all also lived among them at one time, S. 3.

The Jews had the works of the law to make themselves clean before God, but the Gentiles did not.

Read now Ephesians Scripture 11 (that is just two Scriptures away from the Scripture that you speak). Paul says, “Therefore, remember that formerly you who are Gentiles by birth and called “uncircumcised” by those who call themselves “the circumcision”…

Paul immediately starts speaking of the works of the Jews---circumcision.

The works that Paul speaks about that we are no longer saved, that is the works the Jews had to do themselves, the rules and regulations that separated Jews from Gentiles, that is, the works that the Jews had to do just to worship God, like circumcision, various external washings, various offerings from sins, and the observance of special days.

Those are the works that made the difference between Jews and Gentiles, for the Jews sinned just as much as the Gentiles did, but through those works, they had a relationship with God.
Now, those works save no one anymore. We still have to obey Jesus; for in believing and obeying Jesus, we are those Jesus will choose to live with.

I am glad you repeat yourself, for there is more of the chance for others to read the truth when I reply.

God's truth, you need not try and speak to "beloved57" about truth, he chooses to believe lies instead!! In fact, he wallows in unbelief, and feels more comfortable in it!!!!! He's a bit of a "wacko," I'm afraid!!

Since "whosoever" can be saved, I believe you would be better served in your argument if you said Jesus chooses to be born again.
