during that time (never for anything serious) and NEVER had any
problems! I was always respectful, compliant, and non-argumentative!

Had the cops behaved intelligently, no one would have been killed.

All they had to do, like they do in canada and Britain,
is stand around questioning the participants until everyone calmed down,

Today drones would be used and we have at least 15 combat units deployed to the U.S. Plus the National guard. Who posses similar weapons. local police have military arsenals. There is no way the average person or even a huge mass of people could engage such weapons that would be used against them.
But as Christians are we to adhere to man made freedoms? Or the freedoms and non-violence Jesus has mandated ? I'll submit to Jesus and love my enemies.

If you are counting bullets and budgets yes it looks bad for civilians.

But never forget: You can have a massive army, but if you have no loyalty,

People would desert the army and police forces in droves
