I know I'm bugging you with questions Knight and I don't mean to be a pain. Please let me know if I become one...

If TOL has been around for ten years, why does your "join date" have January 2002?

Good question.

TOL has gone through several major updates over the years. And at least two or three times we have switched forum software that TOL runs on and therefore started the membership from scratch, the latest time being in 2002.

If you want to see something pretty cool check out the visual history of TOL, there you can see many/most of the different versions of TOL.

Is it "an H free month" or "a H free month"?

It would be an H free month. Problem is I do not know what H is? If it is a word for the place sinners go, I think "what the heck" is more appropriate, but if one is talking in context and this place in a religious sense, what would be the problem? Of course, H may have nothing to do with what I am thinking about.

I would like to see a "dude" free month, as it would be refreshing to see some better synonyms in place of "dude', but I guess what seems to me to be a cowboy or high school surfer term, might mean something different, such in the fate of the dislocated referent:noid:

In both cases:chew:

Greetings Knight, :wave2:

I must say I have been having a blast here on TOL. This is one of the coolest theology sites I've ever participated on. Any way I was curious about the rep meter. I just started noticing it recently. From what I understand people either give you positive reps and negative reps and that increases or decreases the meter. However, what is rep power? Does it have any purpose or function? Also this question is just for fun, but I noticed that when you drag your mouse cursor over the meter it says something like "so and so says mr. truth meet mr. smack" the highest ranking being, "so and so is an untouchable truth smacker". So what would a maxed out negative rep meter say? Thank you for your time.

I hope to see ya around.

Knight. Regarding all the upgrades and lost statistics .. if you were to guess how many people have posted how many words over the entire history of TOL do you think the final amount would be less than, equal to or greater than the word-count in a LetsArgue special?

I'm a big fan of capitalization. That's one of the great things about this country. Unlike Socialism and Communism, it gives us the freedom... wait..... oh...sorry  .
