Do you know every verse, every line in the Bible by heart? I know I don't.
I guess I just assumed that all Christians read their Bibles enough to recognize something from them, even if they couldn't quote it when asked. Then again maybe my memory's not average.
I do find myself assuming other people are like me in many ways, and I have to be reminded that they are not, occasionally.
From a brother to a brother.... we don't always need to be on the attack.
Lets try to assume the best in people, unless we have reason to suspect otherwise. Lets help young Christians and make them feel welcome so that we can have a fun dialog on TOL. I admit... I myself have not always followed that advice but I am learning to be more positive and less negative (unless it's necessary - like with a pervert, or a child killer, etc.).
