Keeping a Sabbath day is no longer a command.
No longer a command? Never really was...was actually more of 1 of the 10 words or descriptions of what it is like where Yah is...a place of every seventh day rest...a description of the faithful people He calls His own...who do as He does...
How does a Sabbath observance mean anything anymore?
lol...now that needs even another thread...
but in a word...rest...it means a day off...what a gift!
even Adam's first full day of life was a day of rest...later the obedient slaves could rest knowing His wrath would passover...and finally when He lay at rest His work of salvation completed...
For by Him, the acceptable first fruit, we are made, spared, and delivered...to the rest yet to come...the permanent rest...of His obedient people
"10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his."
God might be at rest...but we still have work to do...the next day...the rest of our mortal lives...
"11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief."
Makes no sense laboring to enter Yahushua as He GIVES rest to those that come to Him...
The example was obedience to enter the rest of a promised land...still is...
It is idolatry if you think it is a command when it is not.
keeping the Sabbath is a command but celebrating Him another way and by a tradition of man is idolatry especially knowing it is not commanded but strongly commanded not to...
No special days are commanded
you keep saying...but Isaiah is clear all nations will someday worship sabbath to sabbath and even Zechariah writes of the time all nations will celebrated the feast of tabernacles...you make them liars...
Paul too for having Gentiles return the following sabbath to hear more...and even Yahushua who instructed to pray that the Sabbath be preserved in the time of trouble...
All of them you make liars...
I repeat the scriptures and it does NOT equal the attitude that made the golden calf.
Those disobedient Hebrews merely wished to worship their God as they chose...like Purim man's tradition not of Yah...
Like disobedient Christians who replaced sabbath with Sunday...to celebrate something ALREADY celebrated...festival of first fruits
And here you do the same...celebrating any day...resting everyday
I do not understand what you mean there.
If by worshipping we break another commandment that is not true worship...
Stealing the Holy Land and fighting to preserve it long after it was rejected and abandoned by the Spirit is idolatry as it is no longer Holy or Spirit filled...
but like the bronze serpent once useful, is now an useless idol...
Jesus came and he fulfilled the Sabbath…because it was about him.
He also fulfilled scripture and like Sabbath they are still relevant, binding, beneficial and pointing to Him...
All these things were commanded and are only fulfilled in him:
The Burnt Offering; The Grain Offering; The Fellowship Offering; The Sin Offering; The Guilt Offering; Dietary Laws; Purification After Childbirth; Cleansing From Infectious Skin Diseases; Cleansing From Mildew; Discharges Causing Uncleanness; The Day of Atonement; Rules for Priests; The Sabbath; Firstfruits; The Passover and Unleavened Bread; Feast of Weeks; Feast of Trumpets; Feast of Tabernacles; Oil and Bread Set Before The LORD; the Sabbath Year; The Year of Jubilee; Circumcision.
And what what He did we should wish to do...WWJD?
Imagine our appreciation grow with our understanding...
