ECT Water or No Water?

Jesus still baptizes people today.

Being baptized with the Holy Spirit happens when you are saved, and that is when a person receives the Holy Spirit.

Yes, Jesus does the baptizing, but you are calling receiving the Holy Spirit baptism of the Holy Spirit which the bible does not do.

In your understanding, can someone receive the Holy Spirit without being water baptized?

Gods UnTruth --

Nothing you said actually has to do with salvation as shown in scripture.

It seems you have invented your own god out of your preferred scriptures.

Does belief and repentance have any place in your religion?

You show how lost you are, and how much you are working for Satan, for I always speak about how we have to repent.

You said all that evil stuff about me after I said we have to please Jesus.

Repenting of sins is how we please Jesus.

You are lying about me and what I say. Do some more studying before you say whatever comes to your mind.

I have already told you, NO.

If you want to debate others, and try to curse others, then study more what they are saying.

You say anything that comes to your evil mind.

If you have decided to get water baptized... you have chosen to identify yourself with a particular church instead of God himself.

That's what it has been perverted into today but that's not what baptism does.

Matt. 28:19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,

Acts 2:41 So then, those who had received his word were baptized; and that day there were added about three thousand souls.

Again, when you take on the task of debating someone, then remember what they have said to you before.

Ok. If I remember right, you have said just because water baptism is not listed does not mean it's not included, like the gospel. That doesn't explain ONE baptism. The verse says ONE BAPTISM, but you are saying that water baptism is another. Is it one as the verse says or two as you say. I say ONE, water.

Mark 16:16 He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned.

The baptism of the Holy Spirit is when we are included in the body of Christ that is when we are saved.

Jesus is the one who gives the Holy Spirit.

Jesus gives the Holy Spirit to those he accepts, and he accepts those who obey.

I gave you scripture where people received the Holy Spirit BEFORE water baptism, but you DISMISS THAT TRUTH.

I also gave you scripture where people received the Holy Spirit NOT WHILE being water baptized, but sometime AFTER water baptism, but you DISMISS IT.

Should we get water baptized if we have already received the Holy Spirit? YES.

If we got water baptized does that mean for sure we received the Holly Spirit? NO.

If I understand you correctly, you see two baptisms, Holy Spirit and water. Is that correct? .

Jesus gives us the Holy Spirit when accepts us, see Acts 15:8.

Jesus accepts us when we obey, we obey by repenting, see John 14:23, and Acts 5:32.

Just because someone is water baptized, it does NOT mean their heart is right. They are on the right track, but they might not fully understand that they are to STOP SINNING AND LIVE TO PLEASE JESUS.

And neither of those verses mean water baptism... you are reading that into them.

We have to get water baptized just like we have to abstain from adultery.

However, water baptism is not the baptism that puts us in Christ.

The baptism of the Holy Spirit is the baptism that puts us in Christ.

Jesus saves us all on his own, but he CHOOSES whom he will save, and he saves those who obey him. Repenting of sins, and getting water baptized are things God wants us to obey.

HOWEVER, we can receive the Holy Spirit before a water baptism before or after receiving the Holy Spirit.

The heart that wants to please the Lord is the heart that is saved.

The Apostles stated there is only one baptism.. to teach otherwise is heresy.

4 As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. 2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. 3 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.

7 But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it. 8 This is why it[a] says:

“When he ascended on high,
he took many captives
and gave gifts to his people.”
9 (What does “he ascended” mean except that he also descended to the lower, earthly regions[c]? 10 He who descended is the very one who ascended higher than all the heavens, in order to fill the whole universe.) 11 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

14 Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. 15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. 16 From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.

Jesus said to get water baptized---we have to repent of our sins to be saved.

However, we can be saved after repenting, but before water baptism...though water baptism should be done sometime, just as being faithful to your spouse and not committing adultery should not be done after being saved.
