danoh - you're almost as disturbed as anna :nono:

better find yerself a puppy to hug for the next four years

One, thanks for the high compliment :chuckle:

Two, neither Obama's policies back then, nor Trump's now, can negatively impact me personally

Is there ever a time one cannot capitalize on the policies of one administration, or another?

Nope.

Only a bad strategy.

That right there is all the "puppy to hug" the more astute...ever need.

You must be a worker ant.

Such ever look at things from the half empty they delude themselves into concluding they are seeing is half full :D

Yep.

A good friend of mine not only legally conceals and carries at his place of business, but carries himself like the ever casual, til pushed too far, kind of person he is.

In a neighborhood where some believe in doing as they please, when they please.

To a man, very few disrespect him as a person not to be messed with.

Very few, very...rarily.

Define catastrophic.
Catastrophic Health Plan

Health plans that meet all of the requirements applicable to other Qualified Health Plans (QHPs) but that don't cover any benefits other than 3 primary care visits per year before the plan's deductible is met. The premium amount you pay each month for health care is generally lower than for other QHPs, but the out-of-pocket costs for deductibles, copayments, and coinsurance are generally higher. To qualify for a Catastrophic plan, you must be under 30 years old OR get a "hardship exemption" because the Marketplace determined that you’re unable to afford health coverage.

I did some searching and see that comes from the ACA. Here is more info:

https://www.healthcare.gov/choose-a-plan/plans-categories/#catastrophic
What Catastrophic plans cover

Catastrophic plans cover the same essential health benefits as other Marketplace plans.
Like other plans, Catastrophic plans cover certain preventive services at no cost.
They also cover at least 3 primary care visits per year before you’ve met your deductible.

Are you saying you want the gov't to cover these items for everybody and then people can purchase other insurance on top of it?

Yes. As a compromise. It's the best Trump can do.

Trumpcare is coming, with a roll out next week. There will likely be lots of protests and disagreement. Let's discuss Trumpcare here -
The Trump White House is already drafting a response placing all the blame on the Democrats again if this second attempt at repeal and replace fails - ignoring the Republican majority!

Any healthcare bill that has the support of the Freedom Caucus runs the risk of losing the moderate Republicans on the other end of the political spectrum.

Republicans want to strip Obamacare and its replacement of the monetary supports for the elderly and pre-existing conditions - they want that "blood money" to balance the books on their tax reform and their infrastructure bills.

Get em Ron

You can't get fire insurance for your house AFTER your house burns down. You can't get collision insurance AFTER you get into a car wreck. Only in a government FANTASY can you get health insurance AFTER getting an illness.

That's not insurance! If it was, insurance companies would immediately go bankrupt and cease to exist.

So if someone gets an illness that can't afford the care, it's not an insurance issue.

It's a charity issue.

Private charities should tend to those who are unfortunate enough to not afford care. In a free society this would happen, just as it did in the past before government jumped in to mess everything up.

Today we have bureaucrats, politicians, lawyers, the Deep State, and crony businesses that get together to create Obamacare and its new Siamese twin Trumpcare.
These groups are many things, but charitable is not one of them.
