i think a lot of the trouble makers are Anarchists who were "hired" to derail this thing.

Well said. I remember during the WTO riots here in Seattle that a group of anarchists from Eugene OR had come up for the purpose of disrupting what was supposed to be a peaceful protest; instead, they got just what they wanted: Marshall Law.

There has always been a communist influence in movements like this. When in doubt, go to the source itself.

We see that the extreme left is just as nutty as the Tea Party. Maybe not as violent ( don't see any of them spitting on people, but some of the signs are as angry and inflammatory as some of the Tea Party's) but pretty much as unrealistic.
What the???

Uh... should we be concerned about you? Are you having a heart attack or possibly a stroke? I'm considering dialing 911.

Not surprising. What else would you expect?

You're right in one way: we certainly didn't see any Tea Partiers "spitting on people" - because they didn't.

You haven't read about any of the violence perpetrated by the Occupiers? Seriously?

:rotfl: Fiction writing is great, you can make up almost anything.

It’s so simple to be wise. Just think of something stupid to say and then don’t say it.

These demonstrators, the liberal press, the progessive political movement, and the current President of the United States have all come from an educational system, birthed in the Gospel for the presevation of the Constitution, that has degenerated into atheistic evolution for the promotion of socialistic revolution and the overthrow of Christianity through anarchy.

Princeton: New Light Presbyterians founded the College of New Jersey, later Princeton University, in 1746 in order to train ministers dedicated to their views. The college was the educational and religious capital of Scotch-Irish America.

Yale: Yale traces its beginnings to "An Act for Liberty to Erect a Collegiate School", passed by the General Court of the Colony of Connecticut on October 9, 1701 in an effort to create an institution to train ministers and lay leadership for Connecticut.

Harvard: It was named after John Harvard, a young English clergyman from Southwark, London, an alumnus of the University of Cambridge (after which Cambridge, Massachusetts is named), who bequeathed the College his library of four hundred books and £779 pounds sterling, which was half of his estate. The charter creating the corporation of Harvard College came in 1650. In the early years, the College trained many Puritan ministers. The college offered a classic academic course based on the English university model—many leaders in the colony had attended Cambridge University—but one consistent with the prevailing Puritan philosophy.

Columbia: Discussions regarding the founding of a college in the Province of New York began as early as 1704, when Colonel Lewis Morris wrote to the Society for the Propagation of the Gospel in Foreign Parts, the missionary arm of the Church of England, persuading the society that New York City was an ideal community in which to establish a college.

Reformation Christianity birthed the Declaration of Independence, freedom of religious practice, freedom of speech, limited government, the distribution of wealth through free enterprise (capitalism).

I haven't yet really understood what exactly they want but I did learn how Twitter, Facebook and other social media had taken root. I mean with all these protests all over the world has been accomplished by instant communication. Not much protest in China due to them blocking Internet and I believe the Congress is working very, very hard to ban social media on Internet. I think it has something to do with cutting down piracy. I don't know why the congress are wasting our tax dollars on banning stuff on Internet. Maybe it's a another greedy corporate idea

:first: I made this my SPOTD for today. The points highlighted in this post are ignored by far too many people. This post is a excellent antithesis for Barbie's post.

TOL already has its own set of occupiers with their own agenda. I run across them all the time. I talk with them when we are interested in the same topic... ignore them when they get too uppity... have never suggested that they be kicked off ... but have pointed out to them the occasions when I think they are being rude.

Surprise surprise surprise! Many of you learned the wrong lesson from "the Occupy Wall Street."

So far, all the posts on the first page did not learn the lesson.

Correction: not a single post on the first 4 pages has learned the lesson of OWS.

What you SHOULD have learned, since you apparently don't know, is that this country is stacked in favor of the 1% and against the 99% of Americans.

I think the demonstrators made that pretty plain. Why didn't you learn it?

The folks in OWS are heroes. They are willing to stand up and say, "it's not right for a group of greedy bankers and speculators to ruin our country, get bailed out, and then go right on making millions while the rest of us reap the results of their actions, and the actions of the corporate economy and its bought-and-paid-for representatives in government over the last 30 years, especially policies favoring the rich on the false and phony excuse that this would favor everyone."

But if you have been around for 30 years, and you still haven't learned that elementary lesson, then why would I expect you clowns to learn anything from some protesters?

You won't.

Especially dinosaurs.

Another lesson: it is still possible for some Americans (noone here so far apparently) to see how they are getting screwed, and to be willing to speak up, take action, and not give up because of a few bad cops or bad apples of their own.

Heroes?

I had a hard time finding videos where they were not foul mouthed.

What is there to learn from these idiots? Liberals are so stupid!

Many of the videos were not fit to post because of foul language and even nudity. Heroes? I think not.

That filth, disease, and crime are really good for you?
So far, all the posts on the first page did not learn the lesson.
And the posts on the subsequent pages?
Correction: not a single post on the first 4 pages has learned the lesson of OWS.
OH! :darwinsm:
What you SHOULD have learned, since you apparently don't know, is that this country is stacked in favor of the 1% and against the 99% of Americans.
I think the demonstrators made that pretty plain. Why didn't you learn it?
Probably because it's the standard myth of totally lazy, corrupted, ignorant people who are trying to figure out why they don't have hereditary titles and fortunes.
:darwinsm: So they don't like the way the world works. So what?
But if you have been around for 30 years, and you still haven't learned that elementary lesson, then why would I expect you clowns to learn anything from some protesters?
:darwinsm: I have learned that most of the "protestors" are upper middle-class, spoiled-brat kids.
You won't.
Right On!

Anna, the violent ones aren't real occupiers. They are conservatives being sent in there by the Koch brothers to make the OWS movement look bad. :duh:
