Since we're discussing .....
The rep system is working just as it did before the reset.
Why were you accepting of my "empty calories" to you before the reset?
I would have given you rep no matter how the system was set. And none of my reps to you were ever just empty jesters.
Long story short, I am not the one that has changed.
Like I said earlier, we only occasionally exchanged rep, Tam. That's all it's ever been.
I've gained a new understanding. Your rep never had the point power then as it has right now compared to everyone else, it was the same as quite a few who'd gotten to the top of the heap and couldn't go any higher, Soots or no Soots. I rarely thought about how anyone got there, accepting my place in the grand scheme of things. I'm one of those who thought the comments were the best part of getting rep. I was never the right religion and as my political views changed over time, reps from anyone on the far right were few and far between. That didn't bother me, and still doesn't bother me, it's the rep comments from friends that have made my day many, many a time.
I'm pointing out that there's another system, something none of you has denied, only tried to walk around it in this thread in various ways according to your different personalities. Shrug it off, celebrate it, joke about it, say very little, insult others for bringing it up, ask for proof (knowing the proof is possible), whatever. Each of you is different.
You were the first one to bring it up:
Now, if folks think my repping them is an unfair advantage, then I will just quit repping them.
Funny thing is, that some of those that think my repping them is an unfair advantage have not made a single effort to ask me to stop using "my unfair advantage" to rep them.
In their eyes, any rep I give anyone is an unfair advantage to them. So, anyone that has a rep from me already has a rep score that is unfair. Right?
And I'm going to take you up on your offer. I appreciate the times we've agreed, or enjoyed something together, and the chances we've had in the women's club to find a more personal connection. I don't doubt that you mean well, but we have so little in common either religiously or politically that our crossing paths over rep would have continued to be just as infrequent as it's ever been.
