I guess a four sided wheel would have never became round if we followed your type of thinking. The fear that controls you (ego) has many faces that hide that intent, which also holds you imprisoned to an idea of separation rather than liberate you among your fellow fractals of the lump we all spring from.

One currant runs many machines, but it is still the same currant that came from the same source.

Somewhere along the line, your machine blew a fuse!

This distinction of Jesus gospel and Paul's gospel has been recognized by many scholars and laymen alike. Some differentiate them as being opposed to one another or reconcile/harmonize them somehow...
Actually, The Holy Spirit harmonizes all of Scripture, to those who love God and are called according to His Purpose. Those outside The Kingdom cannot even see The Kingdom, much less understand It or comment on It.

John 3:3
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

We don't comment on the garbage the UB proposes because it's too ridiculous to even consider: knowing the Truths Scripture presents quite plainly. As a 'wise' man, you're not able to come to The Lord, so don't expect anything from Him until you humble yourself before Him.

Matthew 18:4
Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

And indeed the creator Son did incarnate on the earth, he revealed God (gave his only Son) to man for he was God in man, but the changeless God has always been forgiving, Jesus didn't teach the Pagan atonement doctrine. The atonement doctrine of human sacrifice replaced the original “good news” gospel of Jesus, it’s theoretical and easier than personal responsibility and spirit rebirth.

1670.2) 149:2.1 Jesus understood the minds of men. He knew what was in the heart of man, and had his teachings been left as he presented them, the only commentary being the inspired interpretation afforded by his earth life, all nations and all religions of the world would speedily have embraced the gospel of the kingdom. The well-meant efforts of Jesus’ early followers to restate his teachings so as to make them the more acceptable to certain nations, races, and religions, only resulted in making such teachings the less acceptable to all other nations, races, and religions.

(1670.3) 149:2.2 The Apostle Paul, in his efforts to bring the teachings of Jesus to the favorable notice of certain groups in his day, wrote many letters of instruction and admonition. Other teachers of Jesus’ gospel did likewise, but none of them realized that some of these writings would subsequently be brought together by those who would set them forth as the embodiment of the teachings of Jesus. And so, while so-called Christianity does contain more of the Master’s gospel than any other religion, it does also contain much that Jesus did not teach. Aside from the incorporation of many teachings from the Persian mysteries and much of the Greek philosophy into early Christianity, two great mistakes were made:

(1670.4) 149:2.3 1. The effort to connect the gospel teaching directly onto the Jewish theology, as illustrated by the Christian doctrines of the atonement — the teaching that Jesus was the sacrificed Son who would satisfy the Father’s stern justice and appease the divine wrath. These teachings originated in a praiseworthy effort to make the gospel of the kingdom more acceptable to disbelieving Jews. Though these efforts failed as far as winning the Jews was concerned, they did not fail to confuse and alienate many honest souls in all subsequent generations.

(1670.5) 149:2.4 2. The second great blunder of the Master’s early followers, and one which all subsequent generations have persisted in perpetuating, was to organize the Christian teaching so completely about the person of Jesus. This overemphasis of the personality of Jesus in the theology of Christianity has worked to obscure his teachings, and all of this has made it increasingly difficult for Jews, Mohammedans, Hindus, and other Eastern religionists to accept the teachings of Jesus. We would not belittle the place of the person of Jesus in a religion which might bear his name, but we would not permit such consideration to eclipse his inspired life or to supplant his saving message: the fatherhood of God and the brotherhood of man.
:nono: Blasphemy.

About the Jews government sanctioned writings:

(1767.5) 159:4.3 “These writings are the work of men, some of them holy men, others not so holy. The teachings of these books represent the views and extent of enlightenment of the times in which they had their origin. As a revelation of truth, the last are more dependable than the first. The Scriptures are faulty and altogether human in origin, but mistake not, they do constitute the best collection of religious wisdom and spiritual truth to be found in all the world at this time.

(1767.6) 159:4.4 “Many of these books were not written by the persons whose names they bear, but that in no way detracts from the value of the truths which they contain. If the story of Jonah should not be a fact, even if Jonah had never lived, still would the profound truth of this narrative, the love of God for Nineveh and the so-called heathen, be none the less precious in the eyes of all those who love their fellow men. The Scriptures are sacred because they present the thoughts and acts of men who were searching for God, and who in these writings left on record their highest concepts of righteousness, truth, and holiness. The Scriptures contain much that is true, very much, but in the light of your present teaching, you know that these writings also contain much that is misrepresentative of the Father in heaven, the loving God I have come to reveal to all the worlds.

(1768.1) 159:4.5 “Nathaniel, never permit yourself for one moment to believe the Scripture records which tell you that the God of love directed your forefathers to go forth in battle to slay all their enemies — men, women, and children. Such records are the words of men, not very holy men, and they are not the word of God. The Scriptures always have, and always will, reflect the intellectual, moral, and spiritual status of those who create them. Have you not noted that the concepts of Yahweh grow in beauty and glory as the prophets make their records from Samuel to Isaiah? And you should remember that the Scriptures are intended for religious instruction and spiritual guidance. They are not the works of either historians or philosophers.

(1768.2) 159:4.6 “The thing most deplorable is not merely this erroneous idea of the absolute perfection of the Scripture record and the infallibility of its teachings, but rather the confusing misinterpretation of these sacred writings by the tradition-enslaved scribes and Pharisees at Jerusalem. And now will they employ both the doctrine of the inspiration of the Scriptures and their misinterpretations thereof in their determined effort to withstand these newer teachings of the gospel of the kingdom. Nathaniel, never forget, the Father does not limit the revelation of truth to any one generation or to any one people. Many earnest seekers after the truth have been, and will continue to be, confused and disheartened by these doctrines of the perfection of the Scriptures.

Actually, one is. Since men sin, God, Who is holy, cannot accept men (sinners). The only way out of sin is the middle man: Christ Jesus. Your god: Jebus, who claims you don't need to be cleansed of your sin is a liar, just like you are, when you speak his words (the UB). The Holy Spirit cannot abide along with sin. No one can fellowship with God because He is holy, unless they are made holy. The only One Who can do that is Jesus. He came to seek and to save that which was lost in the garden: relationship. Because of His Blood we can once again have a relationship with God. Without His Blood you have NO LIFE in you. None.

John 6:53
Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.

Until you get His Blood you are dead in your trespasses and sins. Try as you might, you cannot erase this from Scripture. You might follow your god Jebus, but he's leading you to his home: hell. We'll just keep following The Only One Who leads us to His Home in Heaven. Thanks anyway.

Actually, it is blasphemous and he seems rather brave to me to say so to you. :thumb:

Most times things are just the opposite of what you believe. You seem to have Opposition Disorder. Have you ever been to a psychiatrist? :loser:

If you only knew what you were talking about, life would
be easier for you! As it is, you're caught up in a maelstrom
of unbelief, ignorance, false wisdom, and brain washed
naivety! That goes for your friend Freelight, as well!

Freelight tries to 'force-feed' his phony urantia book scam on
anyone who is naive enough to read, and take it serious! He's
very articulate however, he's brainwashed beyond measure!

No matter how the urantia book is packaged, it's still a fictional
work! If one is interested in new-age spiritualism then, the
urantia book might be an interesting read! As long as it's looked
upon as, mere entertainment! It must not be taken seriously, and
I would recommend not opening yourself up to it's deceitful
premise! It has no true relationship with the written word of God
(The Bible) The Bible stands alone, and doesn't need a fraudulent
work such as the urantia book to add to its validity!

Looks as if Freelight can't take the heat! Your anger is getting
the best of you Freelight! Perhaps, you ought to report me to
the "cosmic police?" Maybe they'll send a spacecraft down, and
rush me off to another planet, where I'll be placed under
observation?

Freelight's main problem with me is, I refuse to read, and
study the fraudulent urantia book! I believe the written
word of God (Bible) stands alone without adding the
phony urantia book as an addition to the original word!

No, that is NOT his problem with you. That's what he wants you to think. His ONLY problem with you is: you know the Truth. He cannot fault you on ANYTHING except the fact that you haven't read this UB garbage.

Time for a break...............

Time for a break...............

Freelight tries to 'force-feed' his phony urantia book scam on
anyone who is naive enough to read, and take it serious!

Totally FALSE assumption/accusation. My commentary on this work, explanations, articles stand on their own, and there is no 'force-feeding' or 'dogmatic' assumptions about the theology of the UB, as my function is primarily an 'expounder', 'commentator', 'translator', 'synthesizer'....relating the concepts, terms, principles with other schools or systems that pertain, comparatively or contrastively speaking. There has been no attempt to 'preach' or 'sell' anything (unlike others who fall under the category of 'typical bible-thumpers'), but a sharing of the material for consideration, correlation and integration of knowledge.

By the way, per your request......you've been reported here,...for violation of rules #3,5,7...and more. You've been trolling this thread for the past 100 pages now, still clueless about the subject or its contents, yet full of preconceptions, assumptions, rants, raves and the usual polemics accompanying a religious fundamentalist claiming to know or have the only truth. The burden of proof therefore falls upon 'you' in your 'claims', whereas my commentary deals with expounding on the concepts, ideas, theories, doctrine,....RELATING those with other points within various context-frames. Its just 'information',....if it doesn't interest you, MOVE ALONG....if it does, at least educate yourself so you can intelligently engage in discussion.

Lets review an addendum to the rules again -

Please do not marginalize TOL threads or TOL members, the topics and threads that interest some TOL members might not interest you. Just ignore threads and TOL members that do not interest you.

Are you respecting the rules?

No matter how the urantia book is packaged, it's still a fictional
work!

An 'opinion' that could just as well be had about the Bible.

You've been addressed ENOUGH in past posts (amply and charitably),...we are not going to go over and over and over and over in circles again.

If one is interested in new-age spiritualism then, the
urantia book might be an interesting read! As long as it's looked
upon as, mere entertainment!

Any religious/philosophical book ought to be evaluated on its content, - its consistency, integrity, logic, principles, ethics, meaning, how it relates, etc.

It has no true relationship with the written word of God

Assumption and presupposition. Such is too convoluted to even address. Its a vacuum.

(The Bible) The Bible stands alone, and doesn't need a fraudulent
work such as the urantia book to add to its validity!

Worshipping the Bible unnecessarily is a form of 'idolatry'. It does not equate worship of 'Real God'....since 'God' is not a book.

Putting you on ignore for now as I've AMPLY made time to respond and address your posts, which have now exhausted their utility......until maybe an opportune time in the future presents itself.

Good luck on your journey :surf:
