It isn't about a point that didn't have any particular impact on me, restrict my ability to post or put me in peril of a banning. It was about getting that point for operating, I believe, within the rules.

I know, many a poster thinks that who gets one. My answer would be to tell you to look at my post count and the number of years I've been here. Given the contrary positions and the number of arguments I've had in those thousands of posts and over that time I think a pretty good case is made that I am a good enough judge on the point.

I don't know if it was decided that I'd gotten to big for my britches, or if it was some balancing act or appeasement, but it simply wasn't warranted. I don't think you could make a good case for a simple warning.

And when I'd been away a while and life settled down, my father was cleared of the cancer scare and I wanted to come back I did so under my old username and continued.
