For those of you who have received an infraction of some kind at TOL or some other online forum, were you embarrassed? Does it feel like people are looking at your profile thinking "what is that guys problem"?

Here is the deal. All have sinned and fallen short of th glory of God! How much less serious is it to have an Internet infraction on your record?

I received an infraction (no points) from you around 14 months ago. I believed it was unjustified but accepted it. I don't hold it against you or any other moderator. Us gun owners have to stick together.

On another forum, I received infractions several times: some deserved, some not; some involving points, some not; but I have never been banned. I left the forum several times and joined other Christian forums. I permanently left the other forum after I found a new home here at TOL.

the hilarious aspect of that was his determination to take his ball and go home - to stay away from the site for the six months that the infraction was active

the more hilarious aspect was his inability to stay away for more than a month :chuckle:

expect a pile on by anna, rusha, bybee, artie and zoo if you dare say anything about town that isn't absolutely fawning :chuckle:

I remember, and I think you knew being banned was a possibility and you were willing to be banned. There are times when people make the decision that if they get banned they get banned and that's not going to stop them. That's where you'd seemed to me. I don't think anyone practically anyone wanted to see you banned, and I think there might have been some kind of a TOL riot if you had been, servers on fire and the mods having to run for cover. And personally, I thought you stayed pretty composed.

Thank you, and yes that is where i was that night. I would like to say i would do it again differently, but i know better, i would most likely do the exact same thing, because i am still a human being with flesh on my bones.

That brings up another topic. Since "warnings" carry no points toward being banned, I have never understood why people take such offense at receiving one.

I appreciate the warning; it tells me when to back off. Which is fine, because I don't come here to offend people, and if I'm being offensive it's because I probably don't realize it, so I appreciate if they let me know.
