The embarrassment of receiving an infraction

For those of you who have received an infraction of some kind at TOL or some other online forum, were you embarrassed? Does it feel like people are looking at your profile thinking "what is that guys problem"?

Here is the deal. All have sinned and fallen short of th glory of God! How much less serious is it to have an Internet infraction on your record?

I have not received an infraction. I got banned once before the infraction system was implemented. It was well deserved and very embarrassing. I realized how very wrong I was and apologized, but it took a few months.

I'm not all that clever sometimes.

:think: I didn't with mine, but I'd guess because what angers a person isn't the point, but the point. That is, if you were pulled over for rolling a stop sign when you felt that you'd came to a stop then continued and the officer "let you off with a warning" I doubt you'd go home feeling good about it.

Well in my case, it was very early in my relationship with TOL. Being accused of using inappropriate language (implied but not expressed) in my writing when I don't use it in my everyday speech hit on a raw nerve. It initially game me doubts as to whether or not this website was really going to be better than the one I left. I then and still do not use cuss words in everyday speech. I give God all the credit for the ability to control my tongue.

Put a link to the edited version. I don't recall doing that, but I'd be interested in the difference. Else, that was about an actual infraction and not the warning I was commenting on when you misapplied...no, when you were dishonest in your attempt to conflate.
