There was a gift of prophecy during the early/mid Acts period.

Would it be reasonable to expect God would have had these prophets bear witness to the new revelation He gave through Paul?

Hi and you just made a very, very , very , GOOD POINT !!

The only one who had VISIONS was Paul , till he was executed in 2 Tim 4:6 !!

Your point means that there were 2 different messages at that time period , whether the like it like or not !!

Does this verse refer to the BOC?

Act 19:32 Some therefore cried one thing, and some another: for the assembly was confused; and the more part knew not wherefore they were come together.

There was an assembly of people that rioted because they thought Paul was speaking against their goddess Artemis.

Hi and Steko is right on as EKKLESIA means ASSEMBLY !!

EK means OUT OF !!

KLESIS is KALEO and means A CALLING OUT !!

So , EKKLESKA means a called our ASSEMBLY or translated Congregation is acceptable !!

The books of Matthew to Revelation are written in Greek and NOT written in English !!

That scripture was not about the assembly of Christians being confused.

It was about an assembly of Ephesians who believed in their goddess Artemis.

A thought, DP - you might want to restudy that.

For not only was Paul not the only Body member who had visions, but the gifts continued on for a time, past Acts 28 into the time of his Post Acts 28 writings.

You've basically drifted into Moore's/ Brakin's Acts 9 / Acts 28 Hybrid.

(Which those two erroneously assert is Mid-Acts).

By the way, the Acts 28ers "Ac28" and "Debbie Collins" were once both followers of Moore's / Brakin's errors.

I went back and forth with both for a time. Still do with Ac28.

They both insist they were once Mid-Acts.

Turns out they never were. Turns out they had followed the Moore's / Brakin's Hybrid or Mix, of where Acts 9 studies things out from with where Acts 28ers do.

No surprise they both ended up Acts 28ers - many of the erroneous conclusions of the Acts 28ers and the Acts 9 /Acts 28 Hybrid are practically the same conclusions.

Example, both groups erroneously hold that the mystery mentioned in Romans 16: 25, 26 is a reference to the mystery of Christ having been hidden in the OT.

Meaning not only that their study approach is off, but so is both their English, and their Greek.

Anyway, you might want to restudy out what you posted.

Acts 17:11, 12; Rom. 14:5; Rom. 5:6-8.
