I.the movable stick or trigger of a trap, a trap stick
A.a trap, snare
B.any impediment placed in the way and causing one to stumble or fall, (a stumbling block, occasion of stumbling) i.e. a rock which is a cause of stumbling
C.fig. applied to Jesus Christ, whose person and career were so contrary to the expectations of the Jews concerning the Messiah, that they rejected him and by their obstinacy made shipwreck of their salvation
II.any person or thing by which one is (entrapped) drawn into error or sin
21 And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.
22 And all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph's son?
23 And he said unto them, Ye will surely say unto me this proverb, Physician, heal thyself: whatsoever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in thy country.
24 And he said, Verily I say unto you, No prophet is accepted in his own country.
25 But I tell you of a truth, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elias, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the land;
26 But unto none of them was Elias sent, save unto Sarepta, a city of Sidon, unto a woman that was a widow.Election
27 And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Eliseus the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, saving Naaman the Syrian.Election !
28 And all they in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath,
29 And rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might cast him down headlong.
1 Cor 1:23
23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
What does the word stumblingblock mean ? Its the greek word and means:
Its the Doctrine of Election, when preached in the Gospel, it causes men to stumble, to fall away !
Jesus when He preached the Doctrine it caused many to fall away Jn 6:64-66
64 But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.
65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.This is Election !
66 From that time many of his disciples went back or departed, and walked no more with him.
Yes Vs 65 is about Election, being Chosen by the Father in the Son before the foundation Eph 1:4, thats what it takes to believe on and follow Jesus Christ !
When men heard that, they , once followers, departed from Him to follow Him no more ! The saying was an offence to them !
Same thing is observed in Jesus very first sermon in Lk 4:21-29
When they heard the things pertaining to the discrminating Election of God, it filled them with wrath ! Why ? Because it was a Stumblingblock to the jews !
And so it is to this very day, this Gospel Truth is a stumblingblock to false religion !
So true! The Doctrine of Election is truly the biggest impediment causing many to stumble at the Truth.
Because their minds are blinded to the Truth 2 Cor 4:4, they are drawn to follow false gospels,
which incorporate man's imaginary freewill choice to receive salvation for themselves;
performing works they do to establish their own righteousness Is. 64:6.
Such religion is antichrist.
It's adherents are full of fleshly pride and haughtiness. They actually hate the True God of the Bible
and blaspheme Him continually: preaching a false god of their own understanding who loves and
provided salvation for all men without exception, but yet not all will become saved because they
failed to respond, accept him, call on him, etc.; men worshiping themselves!
But the True God of the Bible already had chosen a Bride in His Son, Christ Jesus,
before the foundation of the world Eph. 1:4-11; 2 Tim. 1:9, before He ever Created anything;
the Lamb Slain from the foundation to be their Head and Surety.
That Divine Supernatural Intervention of God's Grace guarantees their Eternal Life,
Living with Him forever in the New Heaven and the New Earth!

Amen to all you stated !
Do you believe that Adam was predestined to fall or did he fall through choice?

If its 'gospel' its good news for all
Not that God has pre-ordained and chosen a special selection of souls to be 'disenfranchised' for all eternity.

Romans: 3 verse: 21 KJV NT.
But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
2 Corinthians: 3 verse: 17 KJV N.T.
Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
Galatians: 5 verse: 18 KJV N.T.
But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
The Act: 13 verse: 39 KJV N.T.
And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.
Romans: 8 verses: 34 KJV N.T.
Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
You continue to insist that sinning is ok. No justification of sin should ever be allowed. Sin is lawlessness. This is awful. I would normally but each if your points, but I really don't want to muck through the terrible usages of the Biblical material.Freelight,
The KJV N.T. is good news. However it is of no use to one who does not discern that there are two distinctly different gospels in the KJV N.T. for two distinctly different types of people, on earth
I repeat the following and other things because, although my posts may be addressed to you, they are not meant for only you. I try to make each post as coherent and complete as possible at all times.
It does not matter what most everyone (who are called Christians) believe. Jesus confirmed that the very great majority (i.e. all but a few) of those called to Christianity will be misled and err and not be chosen. The very great majority will not have it right. Only the few, the chosen few, will have it right.
The KJV N.T. confirms that there are two approaches to God righteousness. These form the basis of two different gospels. I am aware that most people who are called Christians believe that there is only one gospel. Fact is, their belief contradicts clear revelations from the KJV N.T. And getting to truth is not a popularity contest. In fact, it about the beliefs of the few (i.e. the chosen few) and not at all about the very great majority. The two gospels are as follows:
1.) One is the Old Mosaic approach which is with the law. Jesus reaffirmed a very slightly modified version of this approach for use by the spiritually dead. This commission was rendered onto Peter.
2.) The other is righteousness of God without the law. This is through the Spirit of the Lord Jesus. Since 2000 odd years ago, the Lord is that Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty. This latter commission was rendered onto Paul. This approach is for the spiritually aware.
Those who 'believe' are led by the Spirit of the Lord Jesus. Since some 2000 odd years ago, this Spirit is Lord.
. . . And where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty and justification to transgress the law and not get sin but instead be glorified by God. Of course this latter approach (i.e. # 2.) is said to spiritually aware people. Only they can follow Jesus in His Spirit, Son of God, format. Only these people are the body of Christ. They are under Paul's commission.
Those who are spiritually dead must follow the former approach (i.e. # 1.). This set of people, must esteem and uphold the law and canons etc, for their righteousness. These people cannot and do not comprise the body of Christ. These people are under Peter's commission.
This is the basis of the entire KJV N.T. One who looks at the KJV N.T. with this approach, will find no contradictions at all, between Jesus and Paul or between any revelations in the KJV N.T.
Also the Spirit of the Lord Jesus is not the Holy Spirit. The Spirit of the Lord Jesus is the Spirit of Intercession. Jesus, clad only in His Spirit body, intercedes between each human (according their individual spirits) and the Holy Spirit and come up with what each spiritually aware person must know, pray for, say and do, in real time, all the time. He that search his own heart/spirit comes to know what the Spirit of Jesus/Spirit of Truth/Spirit of Intercession has in mind for him or her to know, pray for, say and do.
What the Spirit of Jesus has in mind for one to know, pray for, say and do as discerned through one's own heart or spirit, is a perfect amalgam of 1.) the ideas, beliefs, interests, needs, desires and aspirations of one's own heart or spirit and 2.) the will of God which is the Holy Spirit.
The verses quoted above are only a few from the KJV N.T., which can and do absolutely and literally support the totality of this and other related posts done by me.
Fact is, the very great majority (i.e. all but a few) of those billion or so, called Christians are anchored on absolute foolishness and corruption. They are misinformed and misled by false prophets who came in Jesus' name. These false prophets are within the very core of their organizations, as their leader, priests and elders, etc.. Most of them have buried their relative, friend and their other charges irreversibly and irrecoverably. They are actively committed to (any which way) doing the same to every one else.
People are urged to wake up and smell the aroma of truth . . . . the fullness of time is at hand and this is the last chance to come onto truth, as confirmed by revelations in the KJV N.T..
You continue to insist that sinning is ok. No justification of sin should ever be allowed. Sin is lawlessness. This is awful. I would normally but each if your points, but I really don't want to muck through the terrible usages of the Biblical material.
Note the word "justified'. "Justified" is a very clear and powerful word. It conveys that those who believe in the lord Jesus will not simply be forgiven if they transgress the law. "Justified" conveys that one who believe in the Lord Jesus, has a God given right to transgress the law and get no sin.The Act: 13 verse: 39 KJV N.T.
And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.
I ask you: If this verse (i.e. The Act: 13 verse: 39 KJV N.T.) does not say that those who believe in the Lord Jesus are justified to do the things which the Ten Commandments did not allow, then please post your translation of this KJV N.T. revelation.Galatians: 2 verse: 4 KJV N.T.
And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:
click the little arrow for the full details and more supporting revelations
45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
48 And ye are witnesses of these things.
49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:
35 But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.
36 The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all)
37 That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached;
38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
39 And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree:
40 Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly;
41 Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead.
42 And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.
43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.
44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.
This is not my revelation. This is a revelation from the KJV N.T. which is totally supported by many other independent revelations in the KJV N.T.Romans: 3 verse: 21 KJV NT.
But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
Note that only anti-spiritual and wicked people in high places will deny the above. And they do. Today we have, entire churches of principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this world, anti-spiritual and wicked people in high places, including their billion or so followers totally, absolutely and actively denying, persecuting, blaspheming and undermining the above revelation, while simultaneously and falsely posturing and presenting themselves as Christians. Is it any wonder why many are called to Christianity and few chosen?Galatians: 5 verse: 18 KJV N.T.
But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
Romans: 3 verse: 19 KJV N.T. confirmed:
Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.
2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.
4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:
7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
Col 4:2-3
2 Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;
3 Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds:
Many if not all in organized religion dont understand that to Preach Christ and Him Crucified, the Gospel 1 Cor 2:2 is to preach a Mystery !
It baffles me how many false teachers tell us that anyone can believe the Gospel of Christ, even a natural child ! But this is a Lie, not only can a natural child believe the Gospel, but neither can a natural adult, for the Gospel of Christ is a Mystery, which means something that needs to be revealed, because its out of the grasp of the natural ! How did Paul believe the Gospel of Christ ? It had to be revealed to him Gal 1:11-12
11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
Its to have the Son revealed in us Gal 1:16
16 To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:
Now the Gospel of Christ as it is a Mystery , in order for any to believe it, receive it, it must be revealed to us by the Spirit ! Again 1 Cor 2:1-7
Now what is the Wisdom of God here spoken in a Mystery ? Its Christ an Him Crucified !
See 1 Cor 1:23-24
23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
Christ is the Wisdom of God in a Mystery 1 Cor 2:7 !
And so, a Mystery cannot be believed upon naturally, it must be revealed by God's Spirit !
We need the Spirit first to receive the things of the Spirit of God, which the Gospel of Christ is 1 Cor 2:12
12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
So when we read 1 Cor 15:3-4 these are Truths that are connected to A Mystery, the Mystery of Christ, and they cannot be savingly believed upon apart from a Divine revelation of the Spirit !
Anyone saying that anybody can believe the Gospel as a natural man, they are lying against the Truth !
Amen!
The Gospel, "Christ and Him Crucified" 1 Cor. 2:2, and all that those Words signify, is a Mystery that
only those whom God qualifies, His Children Eph. 1:5, the Body of Christ He loved from Everlasting Jer. 31:3,
will have it revealed to them through His Spirit.
Scriptures speak of a Mystery about Christ:
1 Cor. 2:7-8 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom,
which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew:
for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
2 Tim. 1:9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works,
but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began
Rev. 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life
of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
But those outside of the Elect Body of Christ, which God has no love for, the Gospel is hid
from them 2 Cor. 4:3-4, and so they are drawn to false gospels which give glory to the flesh of man.

Absolutely, I am glad you mentioned these Two verses, because they most assuredly are part of the Mystery of Christ in the True Gospel !
I would like to add, that as He is the Wisdom of God 1 Cor 1:24, He was set up as The Mediator/ Surety from Everlasting for His Work Prov 8:22-23
22 The Lord possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.
23 I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.
His delights were the sons of men because He was set up as their Mediator Prov 8:31
31 Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights were with the sons of men.
The sons of men here are those Chosen in Him before the foundation and were given Grace in Him 2 Tim 1:9;Eph 1:4 !
