Part of the Good News of the Gospel is the fact that all for whom Christ lived and died, rendered obedience for, His obedience is theirs. Rom 5:19

19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

See as their disobedience in Adam rendered them disobedient, so likewise their in Christ when He obeyed, renders them obedient and righteous.

On that fact His righteousness is imputed to them as if they had never sinned at any point. This is how Christ makes us Holy and Blameless in love Eph 1:4

4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

God ordered that Christ’s obedience should be reckoned as His people’s obedience .and that's grace !

The Good News for Gods Elect, what Christ accomplished for them through His Person and Work, He provided for them righteousness 2 Cor 5:21, forgiveness of sins and its penalty Eph 1:7, redemption Rom 3:24, propitiation 1 Jn 2:2;4:10, sanctification Heb 10:10, reconciliation Rom 5:10 and understanding 1 Jn 5:20 !

The elect have much to be thankful for knowing God will never send their lost relatives to hell without first exposing them to the Gospel and urging them to repent and be saved.
