Jesus sez we must forgive those who demand that their perversions be accepted as normal in order to be forgiven? :freak:

not in my Bible He don't :nono:
Catholics don't read their bible silly. :eek:linger: They live for the devil their whole life  and then ask their pedophile priest to make it all go away (e.g. 'Last Rites' or 'Extreme Unction' :freak:). Jud 11 :burnlib:

The wickedness of Sodom ([Ex 20:14]

heterosexual [Lev. 20:10–12] or homosexual [Lev. 20:10,13]) was notorious (Gen. 13:13).

Individuals should apologize for their own, specific actions that they repent of.

This namby-pamby "apologizing" by faceless entities to people long dead for non-specific issues leads to the watering-down of genuine remorse and resentment from people who have done nothing wrong.

This pope thing saying that Christians should apologize to homos is utterly un-Christ-like.

I've always been suspicious that the Catholic Church says and does things which will pin Protestants against our now liberal society.

She did absolutely nothing to prevent gay marriage, not even speaking against it, while Protestants acted. And then, she goes and pulls this out of her hat.

And it's not just with gay marriage, she's trying to pin Protestants against evangelists, she split the Lutheran churches, wants Central and South Americans (because they are catholic) to have free entry to the States, and while protecting Vatican City from Islamic emigration, ridicules predominantly protestant countries for being against them coming in.

The Roman Church is well practiced in deceptions and inquisitions- know thy enemy :wave2:

The Church has already done so, many times since the vast majority of such abuse took place back in the '6os through the '80s. See THIS.

I must have missed the apology in your link. Was it before or after the author said 'But but but, public school teachers molest children too!'?

It's a valid point of inquiry, at last to those not compelled by an anti-Catholic prejudice to single out the Catholic Church. Are you going after public schools and Protestant denominations and sects as well, since their percentages of abuse are actually higher than that of the Catholic Church? Or is singling out Catholicism merely a reflection of your own glaringly lopsided bias? (Don't bother answering, the question is rhetorical. Your comments here on TOL are quite telling.)

"...U.S. Catholics say..."? Who cares what laypeople think? Their opinions hardly represent the facts. Why don't you go and ask public school students what they think is the biggest problem in the schools? Brilliant.

Try again.

You're good at links, link something that shows the hierarchy of the Catholic Church apologizing to the victims of the pederast priests.

Thanks to the pederast/pedophile enablers, the Catholic Church (unlike "public schools and Protestant denominations and sects") had child molestation (and it's cover-up) down to a science.

Fact: It was liberals outside the Church who pushed for the sexual revolution, and it was liberals in the Church who abetted the revolution in the seminaries

Being that it was the "laypeople" whose sons were being raped by these filthy disease ridden pederast priests, I would think that anyone outside of the liberal faction of the Catholic Church would care.

Now back to that formal apology (try again with the links, but this time link a formal apology to the victims of the pederast priests from the Church hierarchy that attempted so very hard to cover it up).

Nope. Pretending this pope program produced something it didn't is not a rational response, and if you agree with my discourse on what apologies should be, you should say so.

Individuals should apologize for their own, specific actions that they repent of.

Three different popes have formally apologized to the victims of the clergy abuse scandal. Guess you missed it.

Being that it was the "laypeople" whose sons were being raped by these filthy disease ridden pederast priests...
...which made up less than 2% of all active Catholic priests---don't bother trying to apply a "guilt-by-association" argument to the entire priesthood. It simply doesn't work. Your wildly distorted anti-Catholic bias is showing again.
