There is a law though, and you are close to admitting it.

There are lots of laws. Universal laws of nature, etc. But the laws we are concerned with here are but two.

There is the law of sin and death and the law of the Spirit of LIFE in Christ Jesus. The former condemns...which is what you do, and the latter imparts LIFE which is what believing the Gospel does. The law of the Spirit of LIFE is fulfilled in us when we are created IN Christ Jesus.

Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

That is what YOU did.

Show where I resorted to name calling. Show where I misrepresented anyone. You tell untruths about me. You are no different than them.

Not only that, YOUR excuse is the SAME AS THEIRS.

You both think you can abuse others because of the truth you laid at our feet.

You are just like them.

You need to examine yourself better.

You do not have life if you do not obey Jesus' words, for his words are life.

John 6:63 The words I have spoken to you--they are full of the Spirit and life.

How do you get obeying Jesus will give you death?

But GT you are implying that it is OUR obedience to them that gives us life. He didn't mean that. He meant HIS obedience gives life. That is what the gift of justification is. Especially in Jn 6 because it all ends up being about his flesh!

There is only one other direction you can go about 'his flesh.' It is called transubstantiation, as I recall, in church history: the communion elements actually are his blood and flesh, making partaking in them mandatory to be saved.

Colossians 2:20, 3:3. From that section of the Bible you don't understand, don't believe and use only for prooftexts.

We die to the SINS of the world, but we ARE RAISED TO LIFE WITH CHRIST.

Romans 6:4 We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

Jesus is the Word of God, John 1:1. The Word became flesh, John 1:14. Jesus’ words are life, John 6:63. Jesus’ body is the bread, the bread from heaven, John 6:33. Matthew 4:4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.“

If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever, John 6:51. This bread is Jesus’ flesh, which he will give for the life of the world, John 6:53.

Unless we eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, we have no life in us. Jesus tells us the truth, if anyone obeys his word, he will never see death, John 8:51.

When we believe in Jesus’ shed blood, we come into the blood covenant with God, Mark 14:24. We believe and this believing is as drinking his blood.

To obey Jesus, to do what the bread from heaven says, this is eating, this is eating the bread from heaven, and it is eating his flesh. Obeying Jesus’ word is equivalent to eating his flesh.

Luke 11:3 Give us each day our daily bread.

Jesus says for us to pray, give us each day our daily bread. That is having Jesus every day, his words, his teachings. We are to eat Jesus every day, which is to obey every day.

John 6:58 This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your forefathers ate manna and died, but he who feeds on this bread will live forever.”

Did you hear what Jesus said? Jesus says he who “feeds on this bread.” That is not a onetime thing. We are to eat every day. We are to obey every day.

Matthew 5:6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.

When we are hungry, hungry for God’s truth, we come to Jesus. Jesus says, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty.” John 6:51

When we come to Jesus, believe, and obey, Jesus gives us water to drink that is, Jesus gives us the Holy Spirit, John 4:10; 14; John 7:38; 39.

1 Corinthians 12:13 For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body–whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free–and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.

John 6:27 Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. On him God the Father has placed his seal of approval.” The seal of approval is the Holy Spirit.

When we celebrate the Lord’s Supper, it is in remembrance to Jesus dying for us.
For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.1 Corinthians 11:26.

Read what Jesus' disciples said to him...

John 4:31 Meanwhile his disciples urged him, "Rabbi, eat something."

32 But he said to them, "I have food to eat that you know nothing about."

33 Then his disciples said to each other, "Could someone have brought him food?"

34 "My food," said Jesus, "is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work.

Did you read that? Jesus says his food is to DO the will of him who sent me and to FINISH HIS WORK.

We are to do God's will. God's will is that we obey Jesus' teachings.

Now, that proves we eat the flesh of Jesus when we do what Jesus says to do.

That is how we eat the bread from heaven, the bread of life.

We have to eat every day. We have to obey every day.

Thank You, Jesus, for giving me your Spirit.

That's better because it dwelled on his sacrifice for us rather than our obedience to him. A believer does not ever outgrow the need for justification, if you were thinking that. In fact, it becomes more valuable as time goes by. It never has the downgraded status or initiation or entry level status that you hear about today.

Why do you continue to make such idiotic statements?

We are given the Spirit and LIFE when we believe and are created IN CHRIST JESUS. We HEAR the Gospel and believe unto righteousness. That is the obedience of faith. It was through Christ's obedience...the OBEDIENCE OF ONE...that we are saved when we trust in HIS obedience...not our own. Which is why your boasting in your obedience is excluded by the Law of Faith. How many times must you be told before you HEAR?

At last, GT; you have found some one to agree with you.

Not surprising, since Interplanner is another one I would expect not to know about the need for color separation when doing his laundry :chuckle:

What exactly do YOU mean by "the ongoing need for justification"?

Again, chill out :rotfl:

What justification do you have for using that particular word? Is that the "ongoing need" you're talking about? I'm thinking that is merely an "excuse" instead of the justification faith gives us...... which is peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 5:1
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

Indeed.

1 Corinthians 2:14
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

That scripture is about men who only want to please their flesh.

Not everyone only wants to please their flesh.

No, I've never once said that

You preach a false gospel of works.....your obedience is worthless.

If you ever understood the obedience of faith....that believing is how we access God's grace, you'd stop preaching obedience to commandments and stop your horrible boasting. You'd be embarrassed that you even mentioned yourself at all. You'd fall on your knees and give ALL GLORY to the Lord Jesus Christ for His GIFT of Salavation.
