So you would run out of the door and away from the threat..... right?
you don't read so good, do you? :freak:
I think I've read you, ok doser.
what would a hero do?
is it despicable to describe the actions of Mintz, who met the definition of hero, as heroic?
if not, why not?
what would a hero do?
now it's your turn
what would a hero do?
nope, it's your turn
in this scenario
what would a hero do?
ok doser, so you're just going to keep repeating what a hero might do, but you can't bring yourself to explain what you would do.
Forget those scenarios because everyone can see that you're still stood by that fire-exit, transfixed to the spot and you have been unable to make a decision.
That's 'Freeze' .........
there is a fight, flight and freeze response in humans at such times. Freeze is probably the most dangerous condition to be in so you might later be able to describe to folks that you 'stood your ground in the face of danger' or whatever.
Right, now let's make it easier for you...............
So you would run out of the door and away from the threat..... right?
i've been in a similar situation - i was fired on by a shooter who was trying to hit me, with no warning - my initial response, for a split second, was to freeze in disbelief, followed immediately by a grab for those who were with me and hitting the deck
near rochesterWhere were you?
beats me :idunno:Who was the shooter?
he wanted to put a bullet in me :duh:Why was the shooter shooting at you?
i skedaddled one way, he skedaddled a different wayWhat happened?
i stopped wearing my brown carhart jacket during deer seasonWhat was the end result?

Riccarton: " A Pakistani emigrant,[34] Naeem Rashid, charged at the gunman but was shot; he later died in hospital"
Linwood::Afghan-born Abdul Aziz, 48, said he was inside the Linwood mosque, the second target of the attacker, when he heard shouts that someone had opened fire.
When he realised the mosque was being attacked, he picked up a credit card machine and ran towards the attacker. He threw the device at the gunman when he returned to his car to pick up another weapon, and ducked between cars as the gunman opened fire on him.
Mr Aziz, who was in the mosque with four of his children, picked up a gun that the suspect had dropped and pulled the trigger, but it was empty. He followed the attacker back inside the mosque, where he eventually confronted him again.
"When he saw me with the shotgun, he dropped the gun and ran away toward his car. I chased him," he told Reuters news agency. "He sat in his car and... I threw [the gun] through his window like an arrow. He just swore at me and took off."

On Cowards and Heroes
Trump and "hero" should never occur in the same sentence ....
Passers-by who tackled a man wielding a knife on London Bridge have been praised as "everyday heroes". The man had stabbed two people to death and wounded three others in a "terror-related" incident. Footage on social media shows the knifeman being held down by members of the public before firearms officers intervene and shoot him dead. One man who intervened said they had been trying to dislodge a knife from the man's hand. The suspect, Usman Khan, 28, a convicted terrorist, was shot dead by police officers. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-london-50608315 |
Yep. You're still a pathetic sack of crap.

Is a deer who runs from a predator that grabs one of its buddies cowardly? Or is it simply trying to survive?
I'll interject a little bit here. ...
I didn't realize back when the thread was active, but the difficulty that some (like greg jennings) had in following my clear logic and reasoning was the way that they were responding emotionally, triggered by the scary/insulting words "coward" and "cowardly"
I agree with you at least in part. But there is also the point that a socialist will disagree with any conservative on anything. And part of that disagreement is their intense hatred of conservatives and conservative thought. So, while I agree that part of the lack of rational discussion is due triggering part of it also just plain old dislike of anything a conservative says. I have seen a lot of disagreement here that doesn't make any sense other than just deliberate antagonism. The threads here are full of examples of it.
No...no.
doser went fishing and hooked a couple. You were supposed to praise him ....not go on a tangent about unstable socialist.
Who's thread is this anyway?
