Obeying Jesus' teachings or commands is requirement for salvation.

The man was challenging Jesus, verse 29 was him trying to justify himself by asking who his neighbor was. Jesus in other words was showing him he has not kept the law his whole youth but was a liar through his parable.

Show me exactly what scripture says that Jesus was calling him a liar.

You keep saying "obey obey obey" to be saved. Yet people like in Acts 10:43-47 were saved without uttering or even praying, simply believing a message they heard with a repentant heart.

You are badly mistaken not knowing the scriptures.

God hears Cornelius' prayers because he was a devout, righteous, and God fearing man with all his household, and gave many alms to the Jewish people and prayed to God continually. See Acts 10:2, and Acts 10:22.

There are lots of examples like this, such as the popular John 3:16 that tells us believing in him gives us the remission of sins.
All the scriptures that say 'believe', they do not nullify the scriptures that say obey.

But according to you we have to work to get our sin blotted out instead? I cant stand on your side. Its a works based faith that Paul was preaching against, it's akin to following the law to be saved. To get physically circumcised to be saved instead of believing the message of Christ.

When Paul said no works, he was speaking about the ceremonial works. Paul was not saying we were saved by faith without obedience. That is ludicrous.

In 1 John 3:9 it says No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God's seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God.

Obviously a believer cant continue to sin as said here, that is living in your repentance. But works is not how your sin is blotted out. Faith in Jesus is what blots out and saves someone.

And yes I am saying we shouldn't use freedom to sin. Obviously I consider it mandatory to follow Christ in action.

Being sinless and completely clean is mandatory for a believer. How can someone completely clean roll around in the mud?

And @ the circumcision verses, they sound much different in the translations ive been using. example In him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not performed by human hands. Your whole self ruled by the flesh was put off when you were circumcised by Christ col 2:11

Jesus is the Way. You have to actually do what the Way says to get to the Father. Merely listening and believing will not get you there. That is what Jesus says. There are many scriptures where Jesus says that.

Salvation has always been about spiritual transformation in this life. Jesus offered and granted salvation to many--long before he turned his face toward Jerusalem for the last time.

The Kingdom is truly "in our midst" as Luke reminds us. For Jesus, Heaven was in good shape and could take care of itself. It's here on EARTH where the problems are.

No, GT.
Grace is unmerited favor. Grace is grace, not a debt owed.

The people used to have to sacrifice animals to clean themselves, just to be able to go to the temple to worship God, for that is where God's Spirit was.

We do not have to clean ourselves anymore, we only have to have faith that Jesus' blood cleans us, and we no longer have to go to the temple because we become the temple. We are truly reconciled to God.

That does not mean we no longer have to obey His powerful beautiful words. His words are full of Spirit and are life.

Jesus is the Way.

If you asked me how to get to somewhere, and I tell you how, will you get there only by believing, or will you have to actually move and go where I said to go?

Grace is not limited for the ceremonial works only, it is for any works at all. Because if there were any works at all that man can accomplish to save, then Christ died in vain.

Even though people could obey God before Jesus came to earth and died, Jesus still had to die, because the people now no longer have to do the ceremonial works and sacrifice animals year after year and do all the other ceremonial works. They no longer have to go to a temple because we become the temple.

Grace is not limited to ceremonial works of the law. Grace is for the whole law.
Galatians 3 KJV
(10) For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

The whole old law must be followed all together with the ceremonial works. However, we now have a new testament.

In the new law, the new testament, the new covenant...it all goes together.

Please provide proof that Saul BEFORE he was thrown off his horse by Jesus

was OBEYING Jesus

and because

Saul was OBEYING Jesus

by murdering men, women, and children believers of Jesus

Jesus being so pleased with Saul OBEYING Jesus by murdering Jesus' believers that Jesus saved Saul.

Thank you
A horse is not mentioned in the text., neither in the letters nor in Acts. You may be "adding to the Word" by turning the Renaissance art into theology.

As best I can make out, that is what B57 believes.

LA

To believe as B57 does, one would have to deny and twist many scriptures.

Jesus died for all men, all men have a chance to be saved, if they believe.

In this next passage, read how many times Jesus says "whoever."

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's only begotten Son. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."

Read this next scripture, Jesus says "Whoever."

John 3:36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on them.

How can they reject Jesus if they are as Calvinists say "incapable" of believing Jesus?

“Whoever” is whoever. This is plain and simple. Calvinists use special exegesis to twist the scriptures. Whomever in the world believes turns into whomever in the world of believers who believe.

Read this next scripture.

1 John 2:2 He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.

Jesus is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world. This scripture shows that Jesus saves any who come to him in belief; it is a choice of all men, if they only would not love darkness instead of the light.

God wants all men saved. Read how many times scripture says "all men.”

John 1:6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. 10He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name. 13Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

1 Timothy2:3-6 This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all men—the testimony given in its proper time.

Titus 2:11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men.

1 Timothy 4:10 (and for this we labor and strive), that we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, and especially of those who believe.

That scripture right there should stop any one from ever misunderstanding and believing Calvinism ever again. How much plainer language does it have to be? "Savior of all men, and especially of those who believe.” All men have the chance to obey and believe.

You see in Acts 17:27 God wants men to seek him, and that God is not far from "each one of us." In addition, see in Acts 17:30 God commands "all people everywhere" to repent. Remember, Calvinists say not all men. Clearly, Calvinists beliefs are different from what God says. See also in 31, God has given proof to "all men."

It is about 'whoever,' and 'all men', and 'each one of us', and 'all people everywhere', and the 'whole world'.

You are confused.

The fact is that people fall in love with Christ and accept His invitation to join Him in the everlasting covenant of marriage.

So many try to enter the benefits of marriage without any love for Him.

They have all sorts of other motives for confessing Him and are tested and found wanting and fall away.

Why one is genuine and another false, is a great mystery.

Pro 30:18 There be three things which are too wonderful for me, yea, four which I know not:
Pro 30:19 The way of an eagle in the air; the way of a serpent upon a rock; the way of a ship in the midst of the sea; and the way of a man with a maid.

Paul HAD TO OBEY AFTER BELIEVING IN JESUS.

Paul's conversion testimony proves your beliefs are wrong and false.

Acts 9:5 "Who are you, Lord?" Saul asked. "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting," he replied.

6 but get up and enter the city, and it will be told you what you must do."…

Jesus SAYS Paul had to do something. Why don't you believe Jesus?

You have not answered the question.

The question was:
How much OBEYING Jesus the Christ was Saul doing while murdering Jesus' believers?

Why don't you believe Jesus the Christ?

Because Jesus is the Lord and He commands us to obey HIm.

why is it so hard to understand?

Why is it so hard for you to understand what the Apostle commissioned by the Lord said;

Ephesians 2:8-9 New King James Version (NKJV)

8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.

We are saved by grace, not by works of obedience. All it takes is simple belief.

NOT TO BE SAVED meshak.

You have not entered into HIS REST.
You are tired and heavy laden.
Jesus the Christ offers you HIS REST.
All you have to do is BELIEVE Him and what He did at the Cross of Calvary and He will dispense HIS REST to you.

You, or I, or anyone else in the whole world cannot bring anything TO BE SAVED.

Salvation is ALL OF GOD and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING of meshak.

We are not saved by them but we are not saved without them.

I'm not seeing where it says "without works".

The next verse says we should do good works.
10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

No where does it say without.

All have to obey Jesus to be saved.

But you said in post #707
Paul did all that when he did NOT believe in Jesus.

Therefore, Jesus the Christ SAVED Saul the UNbeliever when Saul the UNbeliever was still Jesus the Christ's enemy.

Saul the UNbeliever DID NOT OBEY Jesus the Christ TO BE SAVED as per YOUR own assertion.

Permit Jesus the Christ to save you as He did with Saul and you will know why Saul became Paul.

Jesus tells Paul that it will be told him what he must do.

Acts 9:6 but get up and enter the city, and it will be told you what you must do."…

Per your own assertion, Saul DID NOT OBEY Jesus the Christ TO BE SAVED, which is correct.

AFTER Saul was SAVED, Jesus the Christ told him to enter the city and someone (because Paul did not know who) was coming to tell him what was the next step Jesus the Christ wanted Paul to take. So, Paul OBEYED Jesus the Christ AFTER being SAVED by Jesus the Christ and entered the city OBEYING Jesus the Christ and waited for the instructions.

God does everything in an orderly manner.
