Either they didn't want Brady to get hurt, or they wanted Steven Jackson to learn the plays.

Or both.

They acted like the #1 seed just wasn't that important. It's rare to see a Pats team that looks either disinterested, unprepared, or both.

I can't seriously believe Denver's gonna drop at home to a mediocre at best Chargers squad.

Even if Denver wins you have nothing to worry about.

Mr. One-And-Done will start at QB for the Broncos in the divisional round, and your Patriots will have the AFC Championship in New England provided the Patriots beat their divisional round opponent.

T Point being, it is the most important position, but it is a team sport.

Did you see Terrelle Pryor's 42 yard catch against the Steelers?

If he would have switched to WR at Ohio State, he would be one of the top WR's in the NFL.

Like you called the Miami game. :)

The guy with the SB MVP? The guy who is better on average at what he does than just about anyone to ever play the position, likely better on an average day at what he does than anyone here will ever be at what they do?

That guy?

I hope he's healthy enough to make you weep.

The devil's in the detailing.

Pittsburgh squeaks in to the playoffs!

It's now the 28th time the Steelers have made the playoffs since the merger.

That's more than any other team:

27 - Cowboys
25 - Vikings
24 - 49'ers
22- Dolphins
22 - Colts
21 - Patriots
21 - Broncos

Yes, he's the guy with 9 One-and-Done's

The next closet QB has 4 One-and-Done's

Brady and Bradshaw combined have 5 One-and-Done's.

Andy Dalton currently has 3 One-and-Done's in a row in 3 years (something even Peyton never managed to do), and could make it 4 in a row in 4 years, this year.

I'm hoping to face Houston in the wild card round :chuckle:

Though seeing Denver blow the division lead would be fun.

I would rather see the Steelers play at Cincinnati and face AJ McCarron, then have to play the Chiefs in KC.

If Denver loses, they go from the #1 seed, a first round bye, all games at home, to being the #5 seed and pretty much every game a road game.

That's a big swing.

He's the guy who owns most of the NFL passing records taking mostly inferior teams where they likely didn't belong (see: Colts record the year he was out with an injury).

Yes, that's him.

Probably the greatest regular season QB to ever play the game.

However, not so great in the postseason.

Brady, Bradshaw, and Montana (12 Super Bowl Rings) have 9 One-and-Done's combined.

So, Peyton Manning does have something in common with those guys.
He has as many One-and-Done's by himself, as they do combined.

A myth created by the willfully or otherwise ignorant. His passer rating, post season, was higher than Brady's until last year.

I get that you don't understand the difference between team play and individual play.

Look, you can consider Bill Russell the greatest basketball player of all time if you want to lean on that metric and he was a truly great player, but he really wasn't the best. And Wilt's greatness really isn't defined by the teams he played on, nor West's.

Peyton's won't be either.

Meanwhile, horrible defensive gaff has SD in the lead. Looking to make it a fg game and it's good.

Actual cumulative, post season quarterback ratings

Peyton Manning: 88.5

Tom Brady: 89
