This is where your King James Onlyism really makes you look foolish.
The promise wasn't made to Christ Jesus. It was the promise of Christ Jesus (the seed) that was made to Abraham.
(Gal 3:29) If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
