Hello keypurr,

My new friend,

thank you for that. offer of friendship accepted :D

they did not understand him, they thought he being the son of God was saying he was equal to God, therfore was God.

On the contrary, I believe they knew EXACTLY what HE was saying, they just didn't believe it, thus the charge of Blasphemy...

They were wrong. And so are you.

They were wrong not to believe HIM, because HE is the Truth!

How many today call HIM Lord, but reject the very things HE says? An untenable position...

He either IS who HE said HE IS, and thus we need to accept what HE says as TRUTH,
or he was mad/delusional , a false prophet and was rightly charged as a blasphemer...

He is either one or the other. HE left no other option open to us.

Peace!

I'm waiting for you to show me the scripture that says Jesus Christ is not God !

Is Jesus the Father he prayed to?

Did you see the words of Jesus Christ when he said that his FATHER IS THE ONLY TRUE GOD?
You do understand that would disqualify Jesus from being the most high God?

Thank you for your friendship

I know Christ is Lord, but he is not God. There is a huge gap between the two.

I see Christ as a spirit, the express image of the Father. He is the first of all creation for God created all things through him. But all his power comes from his God, creator.

The Apostle Paul tells us we have one God, the Father AND one Lord Jesus Christ.

I see Jesus as a man, he is the body mentioned in Hebrews 10:5 that God prepared for his spiritual son Christ. I see Christ as the son that was sent, not Jesus.

If there is a gap, then the Lord Jesus could not be the mediator, for He could never reach the infinite GOD.

semantics. we don't know what God can do, maybe Jesus is the Son of God on earth while also being one with God. He was God's Word in the flesh. it's hard to imagine the Trinity, and that word is never used in the Bible but demonstrated nonetheless. i can't have the mind of God but it's fun to imagine, take what the Word gives you and make it work. if we analyze it like lawyers or linguists it can get complicated

We can use the intellect God has given us to see what he has told us in his words.

Christ was a spirit being before he took the form of man. He is the express image of the Father. He is a created form of God. But not God.

Jesus was the flesh son of the most high God. But he is not the son sent, Christ is. God used Christ to create everything.

That much we have been told. Consider a study of Hebrews 1 and Colossians 1. Who do you see as the express image of the Father?

you go keypurr ! amen - Jesus is the man is the Christ (Spirit), i agree completely with you, after much study of all the gospels and epistles. i was responding to a post, probably sounding too much like a teacher and helping to explain something. if i ever sound condescending or like i'm talkng down to someone i'm not. i guess i use my own experience too much to possibly help anyone. thank you for your response

i disagree with you keypurr if you say Jesus Christ is not God

Jesus refused the notion that He was God.

Joh 10:33 The Jews answered Him, saying, "For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy, and because You, being a Man, make Yourself God."

Joh 10:34 Jesus answered them, "Is it not written in your law, 'I SAID, "YOU ARE GODS" '?
Joh 10:35 If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken),
Joh 10:36 do you say of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, 'You are blaspheming,' because I said, 'I am the Son of God'?
Joh 10:37 If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me;
Joh 10:38 but if I do, though you do not believe Me, believe the works, that you may know and believe that the Father is in Me, and I in Him."

i won't try to change you views because i think we agree on some most important things, my mind grasps the Trinity without even calling it that necessarily. we are blessed with great intellect no doubt, i have little comparably, but i envision God as Spirit , all powerful, Jesus is part of that Spirit. God made a vessel for the Messiah (which was prophesied in the Old Testament) the Christ Soul. hence, the 3 are one. i just accept it. i haven't reached a level yet of intense prolonged Bible study but perhaps more than some. i read it earnestly and alert and i let it soak in, pausing between verses and chapters. so i don't pick or choose verses to prove a point yet ( watch out when i do) kidding, meaning, i can use more guidance and/or discussion, at present i read it as a whole to get the big picture if i can and plan to get more in depth (don't we all ?). thank you, if you r still up. i gotta go soon

The Christian doctrine of the Trinity is not the result of human reasoning,
the product of man's mind, emotions, or experience. It has its origin in and
is a direct the result of a careful study of the Scriptures.

Depends what scripture you read. My Bible explicitly says that Jesus is God and confirms the Trinity. If you read the New International Perversion, for instance, you could make a strong argument against Jesus's divinity because the NIV carefully changes or removes all verses that state Jesus' divinity.

My bible, your bible???
...The inescapable truth is that God will and must always be greater than our finite
capacity to understand fully or to explain exhaustively.

Our failure or understand or explain fully the Trinity or any other aspect of
God is not due to some defect in God or in His revelation but rather the
result of the fact that God is infinite and we are finite and our abilities
and intellects are limited.
