One can say that Jesus is our master and Heavenly authority but that does not make Jesus to be the creator God.
To say Jesus is God (the creator) is to add to the word of God.
Why would you so willingly do that when it is not even necessary?
Jesus is the word of God made flesh, because Jesus is a man raised up by God to be King.

However you could see Jesus.
The express image is a spirit not a man. Christ is that image, Jesus is the body God prepared for his express image. God created all through his first creation Christ. To us, Christ is a form of God, but he has a God over him. The true most high God, the Father.
John 1 speaks of Christ, not the man Jesus. Christ spoke through Jesus.
