I believe that men and women each have their roles. We need each other. Problems are rarely one sided. And solutions require cooperation. This, I believe, works in God centered relationships.
The only area that has been problematic in the past is equality before the law and in employment opportunities and pay.
The extreme "Women's Libber's" have taken their agenda to hatred of men. This is counterproductive and not at all what the majority of women feel. We love the men in our families. We do not see them as the enemy.

It isn't an anecdote to report on the laws that existed in the past.
First of all, lets recognize that ... that's about the grossest thing that's ever been said.
That "love" included legalized violence and rape, and laws that made it much more difficult for them to live on their own. Maybe there are some women out there who want to be respected before they care about being "loved" and "protected".
So, fight for a more equal child custody system.

That's got to ring a little hollow, even for you. Women need men more than men need women? In what way? We literally allowed men to enforce their ownership of women with violence and rape, and the law helped hold women back by depriving them of the vote and of access to the basic means of surviving independently in our economy. Now if a man wants a woman to spend time with him, he must convince her it's worth her time (the horror) rather than relying on coercion.
I think the real problem is that there are some men out there who realize that if they're forced to try to relate to women on an equal basis, they're going to fail.

As we have seen from some, the fathers are on the sidelines, whining about how the mother is allowed the rights and equality of equal parenting as well as ownership of herself.

:think: Good men and women protect one another. Someone of either gender who is physically, verbally or sexually abusive towards their spouse are of no value to anyone. That would also include someone who chronically and repeatedly commits adultery.
This type of abuse not only sets a wretched example for any children in the household, BUT it also puts the children in danger.
So to answer your question, YES women are 100% better off without a man IF that *man* is a threat to herself and her children.
Why shouldn't women be independent?
Tell you what, why don't you give an example of what you believe is ample reason for a wife to divorce her husband and for a husband to divorce his wife.
