Well, from this I can only take it that you don't know about the translations for 'hell' then, because you have not answered any of that in other threads. If you had I wouldn't be asking you for what you knew as regards Gehenna/Hades/Tartarus/Sheol from the original texts now. If you want to regard that as 'mocking' you then it actually isn't, and if you want to flippantly state that I don't believe properly because I don't go along with your belief in an eternal state of metaphorical suffering then have at it. It doesn't negate the fact that you use metaphor when it suits and leave a literal take behind if you rely on that as a yardstick.

If you cared about 'truth' so much you'd quit telling those who disagree with your interpretation of things that they're simply 'wrong' and provide something to back it up with. If you have no idea as regards the origins of the actual 'hell' doctrine or the original texts then you're just blowing in the wind. It should give any compassionate person pause for thought that a doctrine that has people thrown in a state of inescapable suffering is actually the *truth*...

Knight brought up how much he loves his neighbors and comes down on them for their sins. I don't think so. I think it's selective. I think it's a soundbite. Sod's an example of a TOL sleazeball that sows discord, lies, backbites so forth that besides a slap on the wrist now and then, they ignore, or even celebrate or encourage. That's how TOL rolls. We all know that, right?

Hmm, as I recall the harshest terms were directed towards the legalists, the self righteous abusers of their own position and authority, the 'religious' leaders etc, not the 'common people' else show that by all means. Some people try to make out that Jesus called a woman a dog at one point although why Jesus would insult a woman so and then heal her daughter from affliction afterwards kinda takes the wind out of that particular sail.

As best as I can tell your point is that I am a hypocrite because I say we shouldn't celebrate the homosexual lifestyle yet SOD and resurrected post on TOL.

2. In order for your point to even remotely make sense it would have to be obvious to everyone that by me allowing SOD and resurrected to post on TOL adds up to me celebrating their lifestyle. Obviously... that's asinine. (after all.... I let you post here as well)

3. By you ignoring the fact that I have banned both SOD and resurrected for infractions on TOL proves that at the very least I don't "encourage" their behavior.

Therefore... not only is the premise of your point a tortured stretch, the basic and obvious facts don't even lend a hand to your assertions.

It's a bit ironic that you go on about whining when you wouldn't shut up about an infraction you got a while back, which ended up with you getting shot back in the penalty box and then again...

Nobody is denying the right wing bias here, it's a given and in broad daylight. Doesn't mean to say that things can't be called out. Where it comes to subscriptions then what of it? Plenty like the forum regardless of the bias and it's not as restrictive as other boards where bans are handed out for even a slightly heated exchange...

No, I don't take offense, I have a thicker skin than some who like to whine and complain about me.

I'm outside the status quo both religiously and politically since I'm not as right as I used to be (Thank you TOL!) so that means some won't like what I have to say or they won't like me, or they get confused about which is which. I'll deal with it.

Uhh.... SOD isn't a TOL subscriber and resurrected's $30 per year subscription was a gift from another TOLer.
