I believe you are right ... however, it does look blatant and heavy handed, and we know who is pulling the strings.
Perhaps though, you have the right idea in regards to utilizing the forum to keep in touch with friends and writing off the rest. For me, the issue is that you shouldn't have to. Harassment via PM should be off limits.
Hey TH, I saw your report regarding ClimateSanity's harassment in your PM box.
FYI, he has a history under prior ID's of harassing people via PM and visitor messages.
I had to report him (when he was under his Dolo ID) several times and forwardrf approximately five PM's (all within minutes of each other) to Sherman.
It's fairly obvious the guy still has issues with obsessing over other posters and not controlling his temper.
The fault line TOL sits on may be about to split.
I wholeheartedly agree with everything you have stated. Rape is no joking matter and extremely hard to live with. The slogan should be changed to "We can't wait to watch you all burn in hell". As long as that can be stated freely and without consequence, they are endorsing it.
As for me, I have been a contributor for the last 6-7 years, and even paid the price for a lifetime membership. It's so nice to know it was not appreciated. Well that ends. I will no longer contribute monetarily when the outcome is being stalked and harassed.
