How can you use such a verse when you profess that works are not pleasing to GOD?

Remember, there is only one God and He is the Father. That is what the scriptures say.
Since there is only one God and He is the Father, then Jesus who is God must also be that one God and Father. Same one and only divine Spirit.
That is more scripture, because the scriptures say there is only one Spirit.

Jesus was begotten. Jesus was begotten and the only one called a begotten of God the Father Himself. God the Father is Jesus' Father and that is without a human Father. All humans have flesh and a spirit, and Jesus' spirit IS THE SPIRIT of the one and only God the Father. God the Father came as a man and had to grow and learn as all men do.
When Jesus was water baptized, the Holy Spirit came upon him with power to start his earthly ministry.
God the Father really came as a man and did not pretend to come as a man.
Jesus is the Holy Spirit because we really are only our spirits who are changed and manipulated by our flesh.
The saved are people who are not so interested in only pleasing their flesh, they want something more out of life, so when they hear the gospel of Jesus Christ, they are drawn to Jesus.
When one is saved and receive the Holy Spirit, their own spirit grows stronger in things that are of God the Holy Spirit, instead of things of the flesh that make one more sinful and condemned by a devil spirit.

If Jesus had a spirit inside of him that was not of God the Father's, then where is his spirit now and how can we say we were not brought to God by that spirit?!
The Bible says there is only ONE SPIRIT that brings us to God.
So now you are left with only two options.
You are left with saying Jesus' spirit had nothing to do with our being saved; or,
there are two Spirits in which we are saved.
Both ways go against what is written.
The scriptures say there is ONLY ONE SPIRIT.
If Jesus' man spirit is not that only one Spirit of God the Father Himself, then there are two Spirits and you have just went against the scriptures.

You're confused.
Unfortunately not many are aware of these two verses, even though they're probably the two most important verses for understanding the entire Bible.
Mid-Acts dispensationalism explains this thoroughly and completely.
You should check out The Plot, by Pastor Bob Enyart. He goes through exactly what you said you don't get and makes it very clear.
I'm not familiar with these... Then again I'm still learning, so.

I deny nothing, but understand that first born is still created regardless of if all else was made through that first creation or not.
