The Sabbath commandment is one of the Ten Commandments.

Judaism is where we have the expectation of the coming of Messiah and the fulfillment of it as well, in Yeshua. We also have the commands or commandments of God, God's Law. Christianity came later. Jesus is understood to be the Christ in Christianity. That is, the Messiah.

And Judaism currently has no Messiah, it's a false religion no better than Islam.

Yes, we do. Yeshua HaMashiach, Jesus the Christ or Jesus is the Christ. This is Judaism and Israel, the Messiah. Before ever there was Christianity. Now it is known that Yeshua is not only the Messiah of Israel, but of the world. The Messianic prophecies, the Messianic hope, is and was fulfilled in Him. And Gentiles have been grafted in, and the Gentiles of the world know also or also know of Him. We are talking about the one true God, the God of Israel, and His Messiah (His Anointed One).

Mark 15:32 HNV - Let the Messiah, the King of Yisra'el, now come down from the cross, that we may see and believe him." Those who were crucified with him insulted him.

Luke 23:2 HNV - They began to accuse him, saying, "We found this man perverting the nation, forbidding paying taxes to Caesar, and saying that he himself is Messiah, a king."

John 1:41 HNV - He first found his own brother, Shim`on, and said to him, "We have found the Messiah!" (which is, being interpreted, Anointed One).

John 4:25 HNV - The woman said to him, "I know that Messiah comes," (he who is called Anointed One). "When he has come, he will declare to us all things."

2 Corinthians 1:21 HNV - Now he who establishes us with you in Messiah, and anointed us, is God;

Yes, Moses was taught in the synagogues and Jesus Christ was taught at the Temple. Different teachings.

LOL...

Gentiles were crowding the synagogues to hear about the One resurrected...you know the One that came back to life...after being killed...

That was the draw to those synagogues far from the temple back in Jerusalem...

Why the death occurred and how He was able to rise was why Moses was read...

You do realize no NT as we know it was there to read but eye witness accounts and later various letters...

But you continue to accuse and slander the disciples and apostles and early church with false testimony that they taught different teachings and another gospel...

What's the purpose of the sabbath disregarding the fact it's a law
God says there are six days in which we are to perform our work and that on the seventh day we are to have a day of rest. We rest from our labors, our work. Some people go to a synagogue and hear the Torah read. Others stay at home. It is up to you. It is a day of rest. Yes it is a law. It is God's instruction. Not keeping it has consequences. But keeping it is not difficult. The Sabbath was made for man. Man was not made for the Sabbath. That is, God has given us a day of rest.

Please read the following in context, and know when you do that Jesus observed and taught the Law, and taught others to do the same.

Mark 2:27 NASB - Jesus said to them, "The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath.

What's the purpose of the sabbath disregarding the fact it's a law

A full day of rest respected by civil laws written by men who appealed to in/unalienable rights from our Creator. They seemed to recall it was once a command for all mankind but then in error felt it only belonged to one small tribe...a small tribe but powerful if you know what I mean...

So yeah, rest...

And in the midst of retail Christmas hell it is a blessed comfort to know my boss can only ask for 6 straight days of work...

HalleluYah....I say from a chaotic breakroom full of over tired anxious and stressed co workers...I am rested and refreshed and reminded there is so much more than consumerism...

Sabbath is a gift and blessing indeed...

Aww come on man...

Don't tap out just yet...

We have not even discussed all the categories rabbis place Gentiles in...

You think it was in the book of Acts that it was the first time Gentiles wanted to join?

Many left Egypt who were not Israelite but believed they should go and follow Yah...

And throughout the history they were dealt with...

Here this

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ger_toshav

reveals to what extent laws were made to allow Gentiles entrance to their little club...

Paul was dealing with these...and those who wrongly insisted they had to be circumcised merely to associate...never mind be saved...

You do realize that wearing a red shirt at a blue shirt club does not mean you can say you are in a red shirt club yes?

I have no idea what you are saying. What you are saying says nothing of being both of Israel and a Christian. If you observe Torah and believe Yeshua is the Messiah this is Judaism and this is Christianity. The new covenant was for the house of Israel and the house of Judah, and it came in Jesus Christ. As for salvation, it is by grace through faith and not of works. Either you are grafted into Israel (is this what you would say is possible in Jesus Christ?), the church or the body of Christ, or if you are of faith the church the body of Christ is for you while Israel is only for you if you observe Torah being circumcised, or according to the new covenant have God's law written on your heart and mind being of (the house) of Israel. See Jeremiah 31:31-34 NASB and Isaiah 56. You may as a foreigner living in the land, or being outside of the land of Israel, and whether you are a proselyte or not, join with Israel in observing the Sabbath. Worship the one true God, the God of Israel, the maker of heaven and earth. There are Jews who observe God's law outside of the land of Israel. If you are a Christian you undoubtedly know salvation is by grace through faith and not of works, that it never was or is by works not even for Israel, and that belief in Yeshua (Jesus) as the Messiah (the Christ) is essential as well is obeying God's commands as a Christian, a Jewish convert or proselyte, a Jew, and an Israelite.
