Eh, I'm sure you're not upset about anything I have to say...:chuckle:

But it is true. Your score would get high just with regular use of the system. This time however, as TH has mentioned, it's been the most obvious and ham fisted use of SOOTS advantage that there's been. With a bit more restraint and less rampaging you guys could have amassed higher scores than most over time with probably little more than a few raised eyebrows...

thanks - i was gettin' ready to post & i saw ur post 0- :D


my post is : i knew it was bound to happen, i got my first neg rep - from God's Trut (it's not Truth because hers is incomplete), she made a post saying God made us to die and grow old. another poster angrily raised issue and i jokingly replied - "i haven't given a neg yet, but this post may be it" or something of the sort. then i posted "i think you meant because of sin and disobedience to God we were inexorably cursed - hence, Christ.

so i checked my cp (which i do only 3-4 times a week) and sure enough i got a neg from GT and it said dumb i suppose i could report her as she also got snippy on the board with name calling insinuations. oh well, just thought i'd share, so i gave her 3 negs and all for bad posts not spite.

and now, I need a respite before I Re-Spite

thanks for the advice. i will bail when the thread isn't near the top of the page. i rarely scroll down for threads that are below my screen - get it ? i'm crazy like that - i generally stick with the 20 most recent threads. but when a thread has 26 users including visitors, i tune in -

Uh,,....ok.....I heard of another person having an 'issue' with this before,....perhaps having the 'issue' is 'petty' rather than me habitually using "pj" as a signature,.......which is my initials (first & last name). But hey,..who knows. I could modify things to make everyone happy. Do you suggest I put the "pj" closer to my text to make it easier for you to highlight and put in quotes? Not sure if this has anything to do with 'spirituality' or 'anger' issues,...except for the person responding :) - in any case,...I'll be happy to make changes for the better.

I can't remember the exact date I last maxed out on rep but it would have been a good few years ago, more than likely when I was in a group spreading rep simply for the sake of spreading it in the main to counter those who were gaming the advantage they already had at the expense of others, especially newbs where reps were through the roof and so were negs.

So no, since the reset I doubt I've used all 60 allotted on any given day as I don't view the rep system as something that should be gamed or rep given simply for the sake of it. I rep posts that I think are worthy of it, whether for the thought, humour, intelligence, or granted, now and again just a friendly 'hi' in passing.

The point is they didn't need to keep tabs. After the reset the explosion of high scores for certain members was just so darn obvious. In short, you guys blew it. It's not so noticeable when there's a broad section of people with highish scores already in place (although still apparent to any regular with observation) but to bloat the reps to this degree so early on was, well, ham fisted to say the least.

It's not meant to be 'high minded'. I'd just sooner reserve rep for posts that have a merit to them for the most part, at least for me. I've done the whole 'rep crazy' thing in the past and nowadays I don't see the point. I'd sooner someone rep me because they see something in my post that deserves it, not because it's a ritual to elevate rep for its own sake.

yeah, we all need your initials. the petty problem is that it shows up as (Quote) - on every post of yours somebody responds to. one other person had a petty problem ? huh, because NOBODY'S ELSE'S SIGNATURE comes up when responding to their post. you are a walking, talking argument. very petty

im' saying it can't be seen at times and the response ends up above your lame pj. my initials are mm and i'm older than eminem. but that means you manually do it on each post ? weird - habitually ? i guess i'm petty
