The correct answer is all of it.
Keep in mind that an income (or increase) tax is the only tax God approves of.So how do you expect the government to function if it has no income?
Unrealistic.

Hey, doc, could you come up with just a general way of funding the government if there was no tax?Not my problem.
Doc, does God ever regulate sin?Just because God approves of something, doesn't mean He wanted it in the 1st place.

So, to answer you question: at least 95% of it should remain yours, the rest goes to fund the government.
Tariffs, it looks like. Here's the thing with Tariffs, though...How was the government funded prior to 1913? BTW I know the answer.
Is it wrong for the government to tax its citizens? No. Your point?
See my previous comment on tariffs and sales taxes.Well, that is very nice that I am allowed to keep 95% of my money. I didn't really need the other 5 %
Tariffs, it looks like. Here's the thing with Tariffs, though...
A tariff*-funded government gives foreigners control over its fiscal health, military spending, etc. This is a huge problem for a supposedly sovereign nation. A pro*-abortion, pro*-homo, strengthened European Union and UN could isolate and starve America. Tariffs, as a commerce transaction toll, share many of the same shortcomings as a sales tax, such as the fact that the government has no right to force men to become tax collectors. Highlighting the problem, there exists widespread hatred of being conscripted into compulsory tax. Daily, sales tax prompts even strangers to conspire together to defraud the government. Transacting and accounting for millions of daily taxations creates a huge implementation cost. Sales tax collection burdens novice entrepreneurs adding unnecessary difficulty to their business. Billionaires may live on 1% of their earnings thus avoiding taxes on 99% of their income. The middle class will pay tax on nearly one hundred percent of their income.
So no, tariffs are not sustainable, nor are sales taxes. Try again?
I don't know what that's from, but . . . yes, usually. Although I can only think of two such films, and I've only seen one of them, so . . . .Joey, do you like movies about gladiators?

Why are you so worried about what the world can do to us?
God provides, yes?
Tariffs weren't the only means BTW!
Where's the contract?
I saw it, I found it lacking.
