Again, WHY?
Why is it corrupt to raise prices during an emergency?
Why is it careless?
Why are you assuming negatie intent?
You still haven't answered "Why"; so far you've only been repeating your position ad nauseum without explaining why you hold that position.
Of course. So why should businesses not raise their prices to cover the cost of providing such support?
It is corrupt, negative, careless and in some cases criminal to raise prices when customers are in distress, emergencies, tragedies or in urgent need:-
This practice is now known as 'Price Gouging', a delightful term which I hope will catch on. Doubling or redoubling charges when a company sees that a customer is in a 'corner' and desperate for help is Greed, pure and simple Greed, which any person can understand whoever they are.
Really successful companies survive and grow by fulfilling three basic needs.
Supplying good services and products to customers at fair prices.
Providing good livelihoods to all their employees.
Providing reasonable returns to their non-executive shareholders.
By showing a complete customer database that the company is a trading shark whenever it gets the chance destroys the customer base, loses employees their jobs and denies shareholders their returns. It will fail!
@annabenedetti showed a link to merry power company executives gloating over the situation. Obviously you never saw that link on whatever thread it was on.

“Price Gouging”: Taking Advantage Of Consumers In An Emergency
Rebecca is a California resident who recently faced a familiar nightmare – she packed up her children, pets, and a few treasured possessions to flee a fast-moving wildfire. She had no family or close friends in the area, but Rebecca checked a hotel website and found an affordable room about an hour’s drive away, where she thought she and her family would be safe.
However, when Rebecca arrived at the hotel, the price of the room had mysteriously doubled. She confronted the manager, who denied that the sudden price spike was related to an influx of refugees from the fire.
So you want me to cite my report of what I heard on BBC News television this morning, eh?
Well, the report got repeated over and over in the press, here you are:-
“The last thing an awful lot of people need right now is a higher electric bill — and that’s unfortunately something a lot of people will get stuck with."

Not until you answer my question, "Why is it wrong/corrupt/etc. to raise prices during an emergency?"
I've answered your question, and now I would love you to answer mine, which I will repeat for you, plus one more.
1. If you were running a business supplying a service to customers, would you increase your charges for installation extensions to existing customers because you know thay cannot go anywhere else for the work? YES or NO.
2. I would like you to show me the difference between increasing charges in an emergency and profiting off tragedies.
