I look at this a lot differently than you do. If Trump actually bought politicians, then the far greater problem is that politicians are for sale. That speaks to issues that are of great importance, or should be, to all of us no matter what side of the political fence/s we are on. We cannot have a legitimate government when the politicians are selling themselves, their influence and votes on legislation to the highest bidder.
The buyer is not nearly as big a problem for any of us as the seller is. The buyer is just taking advantage of the existing corruption. The corruption is the actual issue at stake.

Flynn and his son are facing major jail time - Mueller didn't make a deal with the General unless there was something substantial to offer in return!
Apparently Flynn was following Jared Kushner's instructions to contact the Russians - one would assume that Kushner didn't make that decision on his own!
The real question is how much jail time is Jared Kushner now willing to serve - before making a deal with Mueller to "flip" his testimony against his father-in-law?

Paul Manafort, General Mike Flynn, Steve Bannon and now Judge Roy Moore - unfortunately "The Donald" never made it explicit as to exactly what they were the "best" at!

In "Trumpworld" how much more do you need - apparently Mueller is deliberately leaving a "roadmap" should he fired by the President!
This investigation would then continue at the state level - Trump will be pleased to know that presidential pardons don't apply to those convicted by a state court!

Mueller has so far left Sessions and Pence unscathed. Why is that?
If all else fails, Mueller needs them to invoke the 25th Amendment whereby a Vice President and the Cabinet can declare that the President is unable to perform his duties and replace him!
Tillerson already considers this President to be a "moron" - so they have his vote!
