As a Christian I'd appreciate you not falsely accuse me of doing something I already confessed I consider a drug that is being abused.

But then I know that not everyone will turn from evil, hence the reason we have laws.

The problem is that Bob doesn't actually quote scripture. He simply gives facts regarding why the drug is harmful and then simply presupposes that harmful drugs should be banned.
My guess is that Bob was writing this argument for liberals. Pro-pot liberals typically have no problem with the government protecting people from themselves. They just want pot legalized because they approve of it, or don't see it as "that bad." Perhaps Bob's argument would be effective on those people.
On the other hand, some of us believe marijuana, and other drugs, should be legal for personal liberty reasons. Bob gives no Biblical argument there at all. I'd respect him if he at least gave an OT argument, because at least then you'd have a consistent theonomic position. But, he doesn't even try. He just makes the assumption. I don't get it.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, theonomy is a Reformed Calvinist position. Fundamentalists on TOL who call themselves "theonomists" are actually just far right wingers who use the Bible as a justification to push their positions further to the right when they want to. They are not consistent scripturalists. In fairness, most people aren't.
