I was surprised a couple of months ago at the grocery store to discover that my governor had banned plastic bags at the checkout line, and that I was supposed to bring my own. I was a little perturbed, as I reuse the bags as trash can liners and find them handier than paper bags for carrying in groceries from the car, no mean feat in the winter when I park a couple hundred feet from my back door. But I adapted.

Yesterday when I made my bi-weekly trip to the grocery store, they were back to plastic again :chuckle:

I belong to a private FB group where we discuss politics, current events, religion, etc. I created a post about Greta's tweet. I posted this:

I have to admit this made me chuckle. Oh Greta please stop. ACB's education, maturity, intelligence, coolness under pressure, and life experience greatly outclasses yours by several orders of magnitude.

And of course all the leftists and feminists came out of the woodwork to defend Greta. They called Greta a "leader" and 'the future" which is of course absurd. I also said I blame her parents and all the adults in her life for using her as a political prop. I then said real leaders are people of action. They don't just scold people and point their little self-righteous finds and make funny faces. I gave Boyan Slat as a counter example. At age 16 Slat invented a process to clean up the plastic garbage in the world's oceans. At age 18 he founded a company to develop his technology. He is now at age 26 about to implement his idea. Slat is a REAL leader.
