From what I could see the crowd was quite peaceful until they were told to disperse, then shot up with tear gas. One could easily argue the cops picked a fight here.

That kind of thinking is what allows for animalistic chaos and terrorism, no rule of law whatever.

Before obama finished speaking, the crowd was already destroying police cars and throwing rocks and bricks at police and others. Thats when the pepper spray started.

For one, the National Guard should have been called in early instead of not at all. Some might have been killed regardless, but the appropriate response was not taken. It's supposed to be dangerous to commit felonies.

I'm not defending or justifying anything L.E. did or didn't do in advance of the verdict or after it. I'm just trying to guess why they did what they did (or didn't).

Can you show where i said that please? I'm thinking just shooting one of the arsonists would have a crowd dispersing effect and deter further acts like that.
