The written word of God says that God searches our hearts.
If all were completely evil, then what is God searching hearts for?
John 4:23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.
Jeremiah 17:10 "I the LORD search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve."

How is Faith obtained ?
It Faith is given in the sanctifying regenerating work of the Holy Spirit who is given to all for whom Christ died and redeemed, its part of their allotted Inheritance as so is the Spirit.
Eph 1:13-15
13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

No man by nature has this Faith, its a Gift of God the Spirit, Fruit of God the Spirit Gal 5:22

So true, for the only kind of faith that the natural man [unregenerate] has is a work [ergon] of the flesh or mind that cannot please God Rom. 8:8. And if he/ she persists in that state of unbelief until death, it bears evidence that they were not beloved of the Lord, neither were they chosen to Salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the Truth Rev. 21:8 !

Faith is from God, from reading His powerful message, the Bible, the New Testament. It has the powerful message that saves. We do not get faith supernaturally, as many teach, but we get faith in a very human way, from reading the supernatural message!
Acts 11:14 He will bring you a message through which you and all your household will be saved.'
2 Peter 1:3 His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.
WE MUST HAVE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD TO HAVE FAITH.
Where does our faith come from? Our faith comes from HEARING the word, see Romans 10:17. From hearing the word and being TAUGHT, Colossians 1:5, 7. From continuing in what we have been CONVINCED of, see 2 Timothy 3:14, and being PERSUADED, 2 Corinthians 5:11. In Acts 26:17 Jesus tells Paul he is sending him to the Jews and Gentiles to OPEN THEIR EYES and turn them from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God. How do you think Paul is going to open the eyes of the Jews and the Gentiles? Remember, faith comes from hearing the word, and Jesus sent Paul to preach the gospel. 1 Corinthians 1:18 For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel–not with words of human wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.
Paul is going to open their eyes by preaching to them.
Read what Paul says in Romans 16:25-27. Now to him who is able to ESTABLISH YOU BY MY GOSPEL AND THE PROCLAMATION OF JESUS CHRIST, according to the revelation of the mystery hidden for long ages past, but now revealed and MADE KNOWN THROUGH THE PROPHETIC WRITINGS by the command of the eternal God, SO THAT ALL NATIONS MIGHT BELIEVE AND OBEY HIM–to the only wise God be glory forever through Jesus Christ! Amen.
Paul says that God made the prophetic writings known so that all nations might believe and obey. So again, the word of God tells us that faith comes from hearing. Here are more scriptures that explain how we have to HEAR the message that saves: Acts 8:31: 10:14; 11:14; 16:31; John 9:36; Ephesians 1:13; 4:21; Titus 1:3; Colossians 1:5; 1:23.

Faith, that kind that pleases God Heb 11:6 is the Gift of God to His Own Elect. It will be begotten in His Elect or Sheep of every age because, and its called the Faith of Gods Elect by one writer Titus 1:1

They all are given Faith because they are Christ's Seed Isa 53:10

Christ as Covenant Head and Surety Heb. 7:22 of His Seed He died for Is. 53:10 were made Faithful by Him Heb. 3:2; 12:2, by His Obedience, Faithfulness on their behalf.
Rom. 5:19
For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
That is, the Faith / Faithfulness of their Surety was imputed to them before the world began.
That's the Faith of God's Elect Titus 1:1 !
NOTE: Some are under the false impression that Grace was given to all men without exception to accept or reject.
But according to Scripture, Grace was given exclusively to God's Election of Grace !
2 Tim. 1:9
Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
So as a result, when each one of the Elect are born in time, at some point they shall be Born of the Spirit of God and given the Fruit of Faith Gal. 5:22. That's the only kind of Faith that pleases God !

One of the great indicators of the apostasy of our times is that men have taken the prerogative of Faith in Salvation and have made it a work of the flesh, when in truth, Faith in Salvation, believing in Christ is the prerogative of God, His Work, this by Jesus own testimony Jn 6:29

Apostasy indeed !
People who think that their own act of believing is what caused God to save them, because of the good work they performed, they are attributing their salvation to their own work of the flesh Eph. 2:8-9; Rom. 8:8.
But the Faith to Believe on Christ is a fruit of God the Holy Spirit given in New Birth Gal. 5:22 [the Work of God] to all God's Elect / Sheep for whom Christ as Surety Heb. 7:22 federally represented in the Everlasting Covenant of Grace Heb. 13:20; 2 Tim. 1:9, because He fulfilled all the conditions for them according to God's Eternal Purpose Eph. 3:11. So it's this New Covenant that puts the law of Faith in the mind and heart of God's Elect / Israel Is. 45:17:
Heb. 8:10
For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
Rom. 10:10
For with the [New] heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
No such thing as believing in the Greek texts .
When the Strongs Greek dictionary gives a disclaimer like this , " pisteuo means " NOT " just to believe ," you should pay extra attention . Yours and your households Salvation could depend on it .

mans religion attributes believing to mans will. See how dishonoring this is to God and elevates man over God which is blasphemy.

God created us with a " thing" called Faith , a noun . That gives us the ability to faithe into Him by a personal surrender to Him and a life inspired by such surrender . This fulfillment of true NT Faith and faithing does take work , and doesn't dishonor God , this is what He's looking for .
God also gave us a brain . Does that mean whenever we " think " it dishonors Him ?

If I were on a battlefield , and surrendered my life and will to my enemy , I would become their slave .
That should sound familiar. We are enemies of God until we are filled with the Spirit of Christ . And also, don't we become willing slaves in Christ ?
