Madism is just bad theology- it mainly attracts those inclined to magical thinking or who have biased perceptions of history.
There is no mystery as to why the bulk of them are conservative Americans- they have a tendency of seeing America as a golden monolith that crash landed from the shiniest part of Heaven, in which all before it is evil. So it's easy to throw both Catholic and Reformed in the same boat and light their cannons
That's why Madism caught on- that's why they are all about physical Israel rather than Spiritual Israel. The motive couldn't be clear enough, and it's theology couldn't be anymore flawed.
