Looks like those who are struggling to beat him are either joining Trump's campaign or aping his rhetorical approach to some extent. I don't think you can roll around in that and come out clean or beat the devil at sin. :nono:

You think Trump is an awful guy because he doesn't use all the nice, polite, establishment clichés and mannerisms? He is a fighter and isn't pretending to be nice. The political system we have is rotten to the core and playing nice or footsies just won't cut it anymore. The people are enraged. There is a raging boil going with the common folk of this country. They would actually like to overthrow the government violently and know that's impossible and would only serve to massacre or imprison a good chunk of society. The smart way is the legal way...a la Trump. He is storming the Bastille with all of society who will join him. People would love to see a return of the French revolution with all the establishment class in the guillotines. I say they would love imagining this in an emotional way, but again, society is not that brutal anymore. They will have guillotines this time for sure but they will be metaphorical ones.

No, I think he's an awful guy because he's a serial adulterer with a simplistic, peripherally racist mindset. I was listening to a Christian radio broadcast riding home from class a week ago and they were staggered that a man who has professed that he doesn't consider God in his moral decisions and having his demonstrably less than virtuous approach to infidelity and rutting about when single, among other associations (like his casino business) should have somehow translated into support from so many Christians.
This has been echoed by more prominent figures within the evangelical movement, like Russell Moore, head of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention. Trump, who calls the Bible his favorite read but can't recall a single verse when asked has no fan in Moore.
Some doubtless are...some always have been, but today they get listened to and their opinions have more influence because we've been conditioned to believe that anyone in front of a microphone is saying something we should listen to.
Well, no. That's just a loud, nutter fringe. Most people don't want to violently involve themselves in anything, though many people like to bang on drums that sound like battle calls.
Some, no doubt. . .but they don't know their history or they'd steer clear of anything like a desire for a movement that ultimately fed on itself to the detriment of the nation.
