But you guys want none of that; you can't let go of the idea that Trump wants to use his presidency as a tool to expand his business. It keeps you from clear thinking.

I agree that it isn't as simple as putting stuff in a blind trust. Trump's financial ties are too complicated. I'm still not convinced that Trump is doing everything he could though. I've heard the argument that Trump should divest himself. But even that isn't perfect because, as the article points out, Trump can't simply forget everything.

And it isn't about the idea that Trump wants to use his presidency as a tool to expand his business, though I don't put that past him. The point behind removing conflicts is that you don't want the temptation there. You don't want even the appearance of shadiness.
