ECT DID JESUS TEACH SOLA SCRIPTURA?

Most protestantism teach salvation by works as well. There are some in both that recieved the gift of faith. There are false claims from the anticatholics as well as from the anticalvinists. I've been there and most here are mising the meaning of how faith is given to the believers. The Catholic attacks from the protestants are goofy and I don't want to do that. The assurances from the Catholics are corrupt even when they say they are not.

Cruciform said,

The question is precisely how---by what means---God's authority is communicated to men.

Notice how vehemently Cruciform tries to Defend the Catholic Church

Organization without providing Scriptures or backing it up by following

what JESUS Requires a Real Christian to do like NOT CALLING PRIESTS

FATHER

Matthew 23:8 But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ;

and all ye are brethren.

Matthew 23:9 And call no man your father upon the earth:

for one is your Father, which is in heaven

10 Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.

Jesus taught the Jews of his day to observe the Torah which says, "Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it." (Deuteronomy 12:32 NKJV)

The Hebrew Bible was the only scripture available to Jesus and he said scripture cannot be broken.

So yes, Jesus was sola scriptura.

Cruciform, The Bible is Gods spoken-written word. God speaks to all men through it who have the Holy Spirit to understand God in it. It is not for a reserved number of men as priest, Pastors, Bishops to explicitly read from. God speaks to you through HIS Good news-Bible.

Surely Cruciform realizes that we are all priests of the Holy Spirit. Catholic priests are no more priestly than he is.

The Bible is Gods spoken-written word.
The Bible is the written element of God's word (Divine Revelation); Tradition is the unwritten aspect of God's word. St. Paul taught these two aspects of Divine Revelation in 2 Thess. 2:15, 1 Thess. 2:13, etc.

God speaks to you through HIS Good news-Bible.
God speaks to us through both Scripture and Tradition as understood according to the authoritative teachings of Christ's one historic Church.

Incorrect. Though all believers are "priests" in a certain generic sense, there is also a clerical priesthood whose gifts and duties are above and beyond that of the average layman.

And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ... (Ephesians 4:11-12 NKJV)

Paul didn't mention priests because he knew we are all priests of Jesus Christ. You're beginning to make me think Paul was not a well informed Catholic.
