[FONT=&quot]As I’ve said before, Democrats have been overplaying their hand - in spectacular fashion - for years. Their widespread assumption that Hillary Clinton would win the 2016 election in a landslide may be the most obvious example, but it’s certainly not the only instance, nor is it the most recent. That honor goes to the Schumer shutdown.
Dems were absolutely, positively, convinced that Trump would catch hell over the government shutdown. They honestly expected a replay of 2013. They didn’t get one. It quickly became clear that the American people were aware that Democrats had initiated the shutdown, they had leveraged children’s healthcare against their agenda, and that agenda was designed to help millions of illegal immigrants.

Once Schumer realized this, he caved instantly.
Maybe that’s because Democrats are starting to realize that U.S. Citizens aren’t really on board with their insane view of how immigration should work. Take a look at this newly-released Harvard-Harris poll, which indicates that 4 of 5 Americans want less immigration - not more.

It's a shame that we're now seeing a USA that is totally divided down the middle by RANCID politics. Who would have ever thought that Americans would decide to play a "Us against them" type of game with their fellow citizens. It looks as if this will become the "Norm" from now on.

Most likely there's no coming back from this divide that has taken place in our country. We've opened up a "Pandora's Box" resulting in a negative state of affairs in this once great nation of ours. The Democratic Party has sold itself out to the far-left and it looks like that's where they've decided to stay. Lord Willing, they won't get an opportunity to take control of the government this year and in 2020. I'm afraid they would turn this country into a so-called, "Socialist Utopia." If that occurs, in short order this nation would soon become unrecognizable.

You're correct PJ. ALL that's going on is a massive attempt to take down the President of the United States. That's the only goal of the far-left. Democrats don't really care about immigrants; legal or illegal, they just "covet" the votes from these people. That's the bottom line. That's the only line.

70% of immigrants to the US get here via chain migration. We are letting too many family members in.

I very much want immigrants that will add to this country (East Asian countries chief among them). But chain migration brings in a crew with each person, a crew that might not be very talented

Apparently there are cracks in the walls in "Trumpland" - many of "The Donald's" motley crew of "deplorables" take offense at being deprived of viewing the spectacle of 1000's of "Dreamers" being arrested and deported 24/7 on every news channel in the nation!

Unfortunately only 16% of Americans share that opinion, and with 6:1 odds (84%) favouring DACA, most Republicans politicians can recognize a "lost cause," particularly during an election year!
