I wish you would not get so angry with Chrys and that you and Res would not get so desperately in a life and death like struggle of fighting with each other. I also wish there was year of Jubilee and forgiveness for you and SD. So if you are making out Christmas lists..

But the fact is I began that referenced discourse noting the two were much alike beyond style points. I've criticized chrys any number of times without referencing Sod and the only reason he brings it up is to avoid dealing with the points that meant something.

He followed that by asking for examples when I'd given two.

He never addressed the two. That's chrys all over, literally.

They are not a like to me.
And you may be the thing they have in common regarding here.

Not really. It was a way of illustrating a principle in play with him. He wanted popularity or the appearance of it but his personality gets in the way so he finds a cadre and builds up a number that reflects his desire, but not what he really wants. When he arrives it's hollow and it came out in his snide remarks about popularity and friends, which was a theme/drum of his for a long, long time.
Similarly, he appoints himself a judge and declares what people are in his insult wrapped in gauze award thread. He declares it "his job" because he's not going to be elevated to the position else.

Oh Town. Too many words, too many protests, and worst of all too much thought.
Either you know him too well or you are naming things you dislike and think are in him. Ever heard we dislike things in others that we wrestle with in ourselves?

Thanks, that's very kind of you, but the past tense is duly noted. You should start a club for people who used to like me, I know someone who'd join for sure. Actually, more than one.

I'm not angry with him. I don't like him. I don't hate him. I just don't approve of his methodology. There, I've covered the emotional bases.

For the most part my "fighting" with Res was nothing more or less than a defensive effort to keep he and your pal chrys (and various others, from time to time) from unmerited character assassination on the boards, though these days it also involves defending others against the same sort of treatment.

There are times when SD will do/write something and I'll smile for a second. She can evidence a sense of humor at her own expense now and then that I find endearing. But she also misrepresents and defames people without evidence and that's unconscionable, to my mind. So I give her the blazes when she's up to that.

But I don't dislike her.

Sure I have. That's why I frequently use actual quotes by others when challenging on a particular (even though some might make fun of that, if you can imagine) and make arguments on points with rational explanations.

Because otherwise the first time you call someone for lying about you they can simply respond, "Maybe you don't care for it because you lie about other people."

I mostly am. I have met and made friends I value and many others who, while we aren't exactly friends I find admirable on one or a number of points and whose voices I consider, our distance notwithstanding.
