The gender pay gap still exists. I believe in meritocracy. Encourage people to do a good job by pay raises and other incentives. The best person for the job includes evaluating how they get along with co-workers and management. And that cannot be governed by fiat!
Well, yes the pay gap exists but it's not the result of discrimination, it's the result of career and education choices men and women make. There's no inequality there. Quite the opposite, it's the result of men and women both having the freedom to choose what types of careers to pursue and how. The only way to "fix" this would be to force women to make the same choices men make.

"Although additional research in this area is clearly needed, this study leads to the unambiguous
conclusion that the differences in the compensation of men and women are the result of a
multitude of factors and that the raw wage gap should not be used as the basis to justify
corrective action. Indeed, there may be nothing to correct. The differences in raw wages may be
almost entirely the result of the individual choices being made by both male and female workers. "

56% of the women voted for obama
they didn't even need your vote
And broken down further, single divorced non-black women vote democrat north of 70% every time. Single never married non-black women vote 50%-70% democrat depending on various factors. Non-black woman married rural and suburban vote very nearly the same as their husbands. Black women, like all blacks, choose to live on the democrat plantation which is sad because they could do better off of it.

See, there you go with that slick, misleading habit of yours again.

Chrys loves that I voted for the President in the first go around.

He hates/can't use my lack of support in the second, so he fudges it by blending the more recent and increasing female support for the President with my past support, which was mostly owed to a) the Republican ticket and b) my belief that in hard economic times the President's chief role is as as a public cheerleader, a source of optimism and consumer confidence...a role he was better suited to than the opposition.

The republicans need to consider why, while making small gains among men they continued to lose ground among women.
